I and the breadmaker remember when the removal of Trump was the biggest crisis we were facing.
Right, and now some sources say he killed a puppy and drank its blood before using it to beat a handicapped person to death because he's a vampire Nazi.

Anti-Border Fence Mich. Gov. Whitmer Building 8-Foot High, Electrified Fence Around Governorโ€™s Residence
PLEASE SHARE, THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO KNOW THIS:
I am going public to expose gov Whitmer for extreme criminal abuse of power against me, my wife, my kids, and my businesses.
Ever since we filed our lawsuit against gov Whitmer (our case will be heard by Michiganโ€™s Supreme Court on September 9th) she has used her power in office to criminally harass me, my family, and my businesses. The last straw was yesterday- The State of Michigan ordered CPS to perform an EMERGENCY welfare check on my kids bc they claim they received an โ€œanonymous tipโ€ that I had โ€œdangerous weaponsโ€ in my home! I had to cancel all of my scheduled appointments yesterday afternoon, rush home and meet a CPS worker who demanded to interrogate my 3 kids and inspect my home. It was traumatizing to all of my kids. It was disgusting. It was another criminal abuse of power by gov Whitmer. Here is a list of ALL the other instances of abuse of power we have endured since filing our lawsuit against gov Whitmer:
We filed our lawsuit against gov Whitmer on May 5th:
1) On May 10th (Sunday, Mother's Day), a DNR officer knocked on my door and told me he was there to serve me my arrest warrant for an infraction that occurred 30 MONTHS PRIOR on 11/22/2017. The "infraction" was actually a WARNING that a DNR officer gave me 2-1/2 years prior for not physically putting my deer tag on my deer that I shot (my deer tag was in my pocket, which I showed the DNR officer). The officer told me to just remember to physically put my deer tag on my deer before I butcher them. Apparently, someone working for the state of MI decided to resurrect the old DNR warning and not just give me the standard $1000 fine, but decided to UP-CHARGE me with "poaching" and ordered that I be thrown in jail for 10 days, a $5,000 fine, multiple misdemeanors, confiscate all of my guns, and revoke my hunting privileges for 6 years!!!
It is absolutely clear that the absurd charges against me, the 30-month delay, and the timing of our lawsuit against gov Whitmer are all extremely unusual and compelling evidence of harassment.
2) The State of Michigan smeared my professional reputation by sticking a label of "substandard care" on my PUBLIC medical license record!! The documents provided to support this horrible designation, and reason for such drastic measures was "failure to update my mailing address". This unfounded smear against my medical license has hurt me personally and professionally. Patients of mine have transferred OUT of my office because my public medical license now shows I've been "convicted" of delivering "substandard care". The state even BACK-DATED this event to "1/22/19", which is also completely made up.
3) The state of Michigan on 5/19/20 opened a formal investigation against me after they say that they received an "anonymous" tip that I am practicing medicine under the influence of marijuana and alcohol!! ABSOLUTELY INSANE!! First of all, I do not drink alcohol, and I absolutely do not smoke marijuana! The state of Michigan then demanded that both me and my WIFE hand over our entire personal medical records to the State of MIchigan!! This is a COMPLETE violation of our rights and our privacy! When I refused to do so, the State of MIchigan informed me that I will be charged with even more criminal acts for "obstructing an investigation". So the State of Michigan is not only trying to intimidate and threaten ME, but now they are also trying to threaten and intimidate my WIFE!! This is absolutely a criminal abuse of power. Also, it was extremely embarrassing to me that the State of Michigan held formal interviews with my employees to question them about if I have ever shown up to work high on marijuana or drunk on alcohol. It was a terrible personal smear against me. ALL of my employees stated emphatically that I have never been intoxicated at work, and informed the state that I also do not even drink alcohol or use marijuana products.
4) The state of Michigan performed a "random" inspection of our office on July 20th. I spoke with the inspector who came to our office, and he acknowledged that the state really has not been performing inspections the past 4 months due to the pandemic, which makes the timing of this inspection very suspect to me.
5) On August 26th we were notified that my businesses are being audited by the state of Michigan.
6) On August 27th the State of Michigan ordered CPS to perform an EMERGENCY โ€œWelfare Checkโ€ and interrogations of all 3 of my children because they claim they received an โ€œanonymous tipโ€ that I have โ€œdangerous weaponsโ€ in my home.
As you can see, gov Whitmer has been going out of her way to harrass me personally and professionally ever since filing the lawsuit against her in May. She is using her power to harass, smear, and discredit me and my family. She is using her power to inflict emotional and financial trauma on me, my wife, and now my kids. This is wrong. It has been terribly stressful, it has cost me many thousands of dollars in legal fees to counter the attacks against me. I have missed days at work and both me and my wife, and now my kids, are extremely distressed.
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST, I REFUSE TO REMAIN SILENT ANY LONGER.
UPDATE 8/29/20:
Thank you all for the support!! I just want to let everyone know that we are ok and that we are going to come out of this on top. Our only hope is that anyone who reads our story thinks deeply and asks themself โ€œis this the world we want to live in? Is this the type of government we want to leave for our kids?โ€
Political affiliation aside- are we going to allow our elected officials to grant themselves unlimited power? And for an unlimited amount of time? That is terrifying. ESPECIALLY if those same elected officials use their self-appointed powers to punish and smear and destroy the personal lives and families of ANYONE who objects to their policies. That is what you are seeing now. That is not ok, no matter which party the politician belongs to. Period. You guys are seeing first-hand what that type of power can do. We must restore the rule of law, and the order of checks and balances.
I refuse to make our case about political affiliation. Political affiliation does not define the heart of a person. I know MANY Democrats who are the greatest most amazing people in the world. I also know MANY Republicans who live without morals. And vice versa.
Please donโ€™t let our case, or your political views, cause any division among your neighbors. What my wife and I are doing, and what Wellston Medical Center is doing, is simply trying to restore the rule of law amongst our elected officials. It has been a dirty and dehumanizing battle. But our hope is that this will prevent our children, and our childrenโ€™s children, from having to go through what we are going through now.
Thank you all again for your support!! And thank you for your patience! We are nearing the end of this battle.

The CDC exposed their political underwear under their hazmat suits with their ridiculous, completely unscientific directives for protestors.
Changed my opinion of them forever.

One thing I've learned over the years is that bureaucracies are really good at one thing only - perpetuating the bureaucracy. Some of the people in the management chain may have been good at the nuts and bolts once, but they are never the same after a move to management. Most become very political and afraid to do anything except attempt to please those in the chain above them. My guess is that's why with the CDC, FEMA, FDA, etc were still so unprepared for all this. The other thing is that when the bureaucracy is protected by unions and protections enacted by law, the bureaucracy does pretty much as it wishes and at its own speed regardless of what management (particularly the appointees at the top) dictate. At least Trump excised WHO from this equation - another unnecessary boondoggle.

Trump's USPS appointee most likely found out in a big hurry that he doesn't actually run the post office, and that the people "below" him have a thousand ways to make him look like a blundering fool ... assuming he actually isn't.

I dont think a mask is going to make that difference up though. Basically everyone in sweden is already healthier than us and has "better healthcare". And I would think you could also look at how we have comoartively handled previous outbreaks. To say if the US flubbed Covid or not. It's possible that we did way worse than Sweden overall but actually better than we do conventionally. Basically without a baseline I dont think a comparison is helpful.

Personally I think more than anything it's the healthy citizen part that matters. As it would for any disease.
Just a quick note: Sweden, BY NO MEANS, has better healthcare, especially for the elderly. I have a close physician friend with entire in-law family that lives there. Sweden gives very little priority to spending money on those who are in their later years or whose prognosis is not good. I can't remember the exact number, but their vent count is absurdly low. His family actually flies to the U.S. and pays cash for procedures.

Two new normal tidbits from the school front:

Apparently a parent of a elementary school kid who is 100% stay at home took a video of a zoom class where one kid did not have their mask on all the way. Instead of communicating this to the teacher via zoom they emailed the video directly to the superintendent and demanded something be done. It's an attorney of course, I'll go out on a limb and say a fully mature Karen who puts out granola for Halloween.

Secondly, kids have figured out that they can change their name to "reconnecting..." in zoom calls and just **** off. It appears as if their session is having connection issues while they're murdering each other in GTA.

Me too. A couple of years ago I got bit by several somethings on my legs. I had been out in this shed at a plant and icthed for weeks like crazy. I actually went to the DR to get this prescription ointment and it was amazing. Instant relief. Never knew if it was chiggers spiders or what,
I was raking leaves and putting them in my utility trailer. It was around Thanksgiving, but was a warm sunny day and I had short sleeves on. When I went inside my forearm was itching and a huge whelp came up with a red ring around it. It was hard to the touch. The ring never got any bigger and an ulcer didnโ€™t form, but it itched like hell. Hydrocortisone and Benedryl didnโ€™t phase it.... I tried Ivarest and it helped but I had to reapply almost hourly

Are you accusing the Swedes of having common sense? Its a hard concept but I get it. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Thanks @kiddiedoc for sharing.

Sweden also has a very large immigrant population in the major cities from the recent refugee surges into Europe. They want zero to do with Swedish culture other than cash the benefit checks, and they followed little to none of the distancing guidelines. Consequently a lot of them were infected.

The "virtual learning" thing is a complete joke. I hear about it all day, and I don't even feel like providing details.

Just trust me: my work life is dedicated to caring for children, and we are failing them miserably. It's all about checking off boxes and getting funding.

What did I sell? I was passing along information, itโ€™s up to you to do with it what you will. We have a president that canโ€™t get through 2 (fragmented) sentences without a lie yet many on here are willing to look past it without question... yet I give real information and you get your feathers ruffled because you donโ€™t like it? If you donโ€™t like it, prove it wrong, donโ€™t shoot the messenger.

By the way, that dude has accused me all long of predicting that the virus would have a 7% death rate... show me where in that conversation I conveyed that?

Yes you did say 7% death rate

Clobetasol? If so, you never want to go without it - proscribed for poison ivy and seems to work for everything.

Amazingly, that's not who even died. They completely f'd up their handling of nursing homes, or they would be a shining diamond in their approach.

Cleveland, John Lennon was a 119 126 state champ in 80/81
Mike Lennon was 138 state champ in 87
Howard Langford was 126 state champ in 86
Lionel Langford was 160 state champ in 88
I figured these guys would cover most of the 80s.

Back before the public/private split (97?)
We didnโ€™t run into any of the Chattanooga teams unless it was at the state tournament. โ€˜83-โ€˜85 was my three years in high school. East Ridge, Cleveland , Notre Dame and McCallie were all very good back then. Itโ€™s funny to think back before the split .... there were just as many state champs from public schools as private. Nowadays I wish theyโ€™d let the public state champ in each weight class square off against the private champ in order to have a true state champion.

I hope some day we can have a few beverages of choice in February. My treat.

And it spills into the onsite learning. After doing homework with my 9th grader tonight, I want to punch some education folk.

There is no paper and books anymore. It is pictures of quizzes and tests and endless amounts of checking this box and that box on a site saying you completed X. They might as well just send all the teachers to retirement at this point. F***.
