They switched him to outside linebacker and that is seen by outsiders as acknowledgement from the coaches he can't beat out the others. It is also a bit of a setback I from a learning perspective.

Build wise he looks more fit for that role. Plus, I always thought this was his destination from the git go. Wondering if he was just moved inside after last seasons exodus in the middle?

Surely, atp, JJ has a pretty strong grasp of what's going on at the outside as well. Would love to see him ball out, especially with the unrealistic expectations the fan base put on him as the #1 recruit from a mediocre class that got a late start to his 1st season after academic delays and uhhh, coming in out of shape.

We will. I take that as coach speak...considering we have video of 1 throw (i know just 1) but that one throw was the exact same crap he did last year..mif rather have seen him over throw the guy..at least then it show some anticipation of leading the wr

Well he sure must have anticipated that throw in the end zone to Jennings last yr against Bama then. That play still kills me. I'm pretty sure I could have hit him on that one.

As far as jj goes Reuben Foster took a lot of time to grasp the defense and come into his own. He turned into a first round pick, just because a kid has a high rating doesn’t mean they can all be a toot toot. JJP could be that same kind of player that explodes his senior year and plays solid special teams for 3. The athleticism is there.

All these reports sound good, but the story with JG has always been looks better than all the other QBs in practice by far but fizzles under the bright lights with inconsistent play. So it's hard to know how much to believe preseason hype about him. I hope the hype all pans out in actual play, but Im taking a wait 'n see attitude.

Jg has always been a good practice player, nothing new here. He just can't seem to bring his practice game to the real game so far.

JG's stats even back to high school bear out that he is just not a gunslinger. He isn't gonna miraculously turn into Peyton Manning this year but if can just limit his wtf? throws we should be ok.

He said he was comfortable last year.....he can know the play book inside and out...but if he cant lead a wr..then its all for nothing

IMHO, his inability to lead receiver is all about decision-making. On deep balls you can tell when he sees the open receiver, then you’ll see a couple of hitches, and then he releases an underthrown ball. If he gets to that decision sooner, I think that same ball hits someone in stride.

Can this be fixed? I hope so but am not sure

He pats the ball. It pisses me off. I always think of this.

JG only has to manage the offense if the offensive line live up to the hype and Eric Gray takes the next step. I don’t care who’s at qb but Maurer inside the 20 scares the hell out of me more than a wide open tight end running down the seam for JG. At least the ball cant be picked off if there isn’t a defender in the zip code when he overthrows.

HBs reason for Stock being down is pretty stupid......

Should only drop if he is doing bad in practice which he isn’t..... lol
