Gibbs may decide to come back like that Vandy player.

Wish we could know how many players have covid. Like how much does it take for them to cancel a practice?

Guess its good we are getting a little outbreak out of the way.
I believe the issue is grades----not Covid.

any chance Gibbs wasn't seeing a starting role at WR in 2020 and knew about the free eligibility year and just decided to sit out for that reason (in addition to COVID).

It’s only going to get worse. These freshman will be more experienced next year.

Podcast made it sound like Gibbs wasn’t going to be much of a factor this year anyways. He may just be a great athlete but mediocre football player.

According to 247 GA has #2,7,9 in the top ten of GA. FL has #7 in their top 10. AL has #2 and 8. Not sure what point you were trying to make.

I agree with you, but I guess you can look at it as those other states have more talent overall than we do usually in TN, so it is harder for us to recruit out of state, thus it is more important for us to keep what we have instate ... I am a little surprised with how well we've been recruiting that we don't have a few more top instate guys ... guess they want to "go away" to college instead of "staying home"...

Minds would be BLOWN if we got all 4 huh?

See......................... this is what I was quietly thinking........ we haven't done anything to hurt our chances/stock with these guys, so I don't see how we would necessarily fade with them. Man it would be awesome if we pulled all of them... fingers crossed.

Yeah, playing for your state school or even the one you grew up being a fan of just isn't that important to recruits anymore. Pruitt decides which players he wants in state but doesn't seem to waste extraordinary amounts of time on ones that are not that interested. He has too many ties in AL, FL and GA to do so. Plus he now has Coach O with ties to the NE and Graham in the Carolinas.

I'd take a starting 5 of LeBron, Durant, Kawhi, Harden, and Anthony Davis over any 5 dudes from the Dream Team. The increase over time of shooting ability/range, strength, and positional versatility will overcome the "softness" of the modern game. Nostalgia can blind you. If you think that NBA players as a whole were better in the 90s than they are now, you don't watch enough basketball.

I don't think this is special to basketball. The best players now will beat the best players from 20 years ago in any sport. There's just been too much progress in conditioning, specialized skills training, nutrition, and the sheer fact that modern players use the previous generations to build their skill levels. Any decreased physicality from games modernizing, whether for safety concerns or to favor scoring, isn't enough to negate all the other advancements that the last 20 years have blessed us with.

Bill Lambier, Joe Dumars, and Charles Oakley would literally beat the sh** out just about every player you listed. It's a different game today than it was 20+ years ago but the great ones adjust. And you're entitled to your opinion, even if it's ridiculous.
