Dissenters? They can dissent all they want, they can offer opinions, alternate plans and submit legislation for consideration. The problem with those you worship as "dissenters" is that they did none of that. They ran for office and reelection on the idea that they would support repealing ACA, reducing regulation, taxes, and push the republican agenda. They didn't, they were exposed as frauds who used people's frustrations with Obama to remain in office and when they had a man that would sign all the legislation they promised they would pass, they didn't have it. After they were exposed as frauds is when they "dissented".
True, but obviously irrelevant.
There are dozens, if not hundreds, of examples of politicians with voting records identical to Flake who are still in government. Why? They kissed the ring. There are examples of locally popular, competent republicans like Larry Hogan that are nationally despised. Why? Didn’t kiss the ring. There are thoughtful pundits like David French, George Will, and Jonah Goldberg, etc. who are despised by the Trumpists. Why? Didn’t kiss the ring. There are moron pundits like Sohrab Amari and Dinesh D’Souza who are revered by Trumpists for no other reason than publicly kissing more than the ring.
There are examples of woefully incompetent republicans like Matt Gaetz whose popularity is indirectly proportionate to competence. Why? They kissed more than the ring.
National popularity amongst republicans is directly tied to a public figure’s willingness to fluff Trump.
Another Ivanka post.
