Nobody said he was a racist for wanting to curb illegal immigration. Most everyone wants to curb illegal immigration and many of those people are not very racist at all.
This is the point Trumpers struggle with:
IT WAS THE WAY HE WENT ABOUT FRAMING HIS ARGUMENT. (that was the part that made him look racist)

Criticizing the party in power is part of politics that has been happening for hundreds of years. The only difference now is the crying response to that criticism. If you are in a place that you can only find "hope" in lies then you have my sympathy. The "normal hardworking americans" do not need lies for hope. The only policy I have heard from the current rnc is lies about their "policy".

If it were the truth, it would have been effective.

This isn’t even a close enough call to have to explain it to a guy who once told me that republicans don’t criticize other republicans.

I find it amusing that a logical minded person such as yourself thinks politicians than are lifers aren’t the problem . That’s the same as Luther and Mick trying to convince me that who has historically ran those big urban cities aren’t at fault for bad policies. If only we had a way to look and see how these people vote . 🤔

And I find it amusing that the Trumpists’ defense against the accusation that they demand uniformity of thought is to suggest that all true republicans everywhere at one time decided to cast out members who think differently. And to trip all over themselves ignoring a ton of examples of group think in order to abuse a few dissenters, in the process.

The “defense“ is not only a full confession, but you’ve acted out the conduct of which you were accused.

Vote for Joe , Makes no difference to me . I’m not voting for a politician that’s going in telling me he wants to cut down my right . I’m at least smarter than that .

Dissenters? They can dissent all they want, they can offer opinions, alternate plans and submit legislation for consideration. The problem with those you worship as "dissenters" is that they did none of that. They ran for office and reelection on the idea that they would support repealing ACA, reducing regulation, taxes, and push the republican agenda. They didn't, they were exposed as frauds who used people's frustrations with Obama to remain in office and when they had a man that would sign all the legislation they promised they would pass, they didn't have it. After they were exposed as frauds is when they "dissented".
