No one likes lawyers, until they need one.Sounds like a good lawyer, in which I despise lawyers. Now that we have that out of the way, my great grandmother use to always say “id like to buy that guy for what he’s worth, and sell him for what he thinks he’s worth”!! Lol
I still use that phrase often.
People hear 'legal expert' analysis from people like me and you, who've never been in a Jury Trial.
There are despicable people in every profession. Some market themselves better than others. Like the Daytona DUI lawyer that advertises on beer coasters at local bars. 'Dont blow, call Joe', or some such.
Anyway, my point is. It's important to have checks and balances. Just like the media is to Executive Branch. Settlements and recoveries help to keep people honest, in theory. Prior to tort reform, there were some large settlements. Always go back to the old lady at McDonalds. Some saw that as frivolous. She had really sustained a lot of damage.
You say you hate lawyers. Watch the Doc on that deal, it may change your mind.
It's always been an intriguing profession to me. But, I grew up around it. So, i can see both sides.
