My 13-YO nephew is undergoing his second MRI of the day in about 10 minutes. Little man has two tumors. One wrapped around his cervical spine and the other is at the base of his brain. Both believed to be malignant. They are interfering with production or flow of spinal fluid and he’s been feeling numbness, which was the symptom that brought him in today.

He had brain surgery when he was 2 to remove a tumor and now this. Needless to say my brother and SIL are deeply distraught right now. Surgery in morning. Please pray for “immeasurably more” for he and his family. I’m shook.

Prayers, if there is some kind of go fund me please post. We give to St. Judes all the time, so hopefully one day kids can have a better chance against unfortunate stuff like this.

That’s just amazing you would even consider that. He’s at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Nothing like that though. Thank you. He’s out of the marathon MRI, they’re mapping the tumors. They think it’s in the bone 😔

You just call and make an appointment and they come out and swab you in your car. For free by the way. From appointment call to result it takes maybe four days while clinics seem to take a while longer to get you in and get the results later. I can vouch for that. Wife had symptoms last Sunday so we headed to Hawkins Co health dept for their daily testing on Monday. Was 16th in the line of cars. Was there about 45 minutes. That was around 1015 AM. Had negative results (Praise The Lord) roughly 26 hours later. Went to a Nashville lab overnight. I think the county departments have priority based on that turnaround.

I think that’s an NCAA thing. Spring sports start after the first of the year. I think basketball is considered a winter sport because it wraps around the end of the semester to the spring- October thru April.

Just so y’all know, this is my preseason football expectations every year. Regardless of the coach, AD, or players. I think that we now have the right Coach, AD, and players to begin this decade.

Edit: (one year was the exception: when the AD fired CPF with a plan to hire kiffin, I knew that it was destined for failure. Never trade substance for flash. I was ecstatic when kiffin moved out in the middle of the night like the worthless conman that he is). I threw up in my mouth whenever I had to say that kiffin was our coach so I support him...😐

First time with a brisket. I’m aiming for a 195-200° average, then wrap and rest for at least an hour. I go for the 200-205° range for butt, then wrap and rest, which works perfectly.

I'd say that's right. I always hate to hear when so and so football player had a great fall camp and it took place in August.
