A Marine buddy of mine was visiting the last 2 days and mentioned something about this.

My pappaw retired a master sergeant 26yrs AF and directly joined the state militia called Tennessee Defense Force. They were all retirees...if I heard they were gonna clash with antifa in Knoxville I would drive from Charlotte to stack bodies in his name.

He was stationed in the Philippines for the Korean War and loaded bombs on planes all day and night to be dropped on Communists. I love and miss him more than anyone but I am glad now that he isn't here to see an openly Marxist group tearing up cities and novody doing anything about it.

He is the best man I have ever known. Spent his entire retirement in the TDF and volunteering for Remote Area Medical out of Knoxville. Free clinics all over S America as well as in poor rural areas here. He was always very proud to be an American and so am I. Go Vols

Tell me more about this please. What is the purpose of the militia?

My guess is it’s to go in an act where the police aren’t allowed to in places like Portland. I saw something somewhere else also mentioning forming a militia with former and current military/law enforcement. I’m guessing this idea is gaining traction.

Not sure this is what we need to be striving for. Theocratic state with no rights doesn't seem like the best idea.

Not a real deterrent.....you don't go to the death chamber quickly after a conviction (no discussion of rates of innocence on guilty verdicts), appeal, appeal, sit, wait, 20 some odd years later then maybe carried out.

If immediately after conviction one appeal then death in timely manner, maybe more of a deterrent.

Then too many liberal human rights attorneys start claiming their client's due process was violated.
