And yet was the "liberal" candidate in the 1858 Senate race which he lost. How odd.
As compared to the average man of the time, he scored well on the racist continuum - unlike the current POTUS.
His views evolved with time in the correct direction - unlike the current POTUS.

Watching some of the footage from the debates from summer of 2019. Biden has deteriorated a lot since then and he wasn’t exactly on the top of his game last summer. Sad.

I'm just making fun of the posters earlier that implied Harris was a ploy to get the right to make slut jokes, and that was going to win the female demographic. My point is if that is the best excuse you can make for this pick, then there must not be any good excuses at all. Just a joke.

If the VP pick is irrelevant, why are we even talking about it then? This is the most important VP pick of all time, just like Palin was before this one, and for essentially the same reason.

Harris is very easy to paint as a radical for a variety of things she has said. The worst aspect of choosing her IMO is the fact she is going to have to spend time on the campaign trail defending her own AG record to the radicals in her party currently going after the police and the Justice system.

Not a great combination.

I do kind of get the pick though. She was the most milk toast option remaining after Biden pigeonholed himself into a POC woman. Probably the smart pick if you believe you will never have to actually sell yourself as a candidate to win the election.

She kills the "Biden is soft on crime" and the "Biden will de-fund the police" Republican narratives. It's fair to say that some of her work as a prosecutor was draconian. That may turn off some black voters, but they aren't going to vote for Trump... Hey, maybe Kanye will pick up some support now! LOL.

Biden has already said he wants to defund the police though. Sorry, "redirect funds" from the police.

They will both have to walk the tightrope between condemning all the radicals in their party, or giving Trump unlimited guns and unlimited ammo to paint them as in favor of anarchy.

I think that tightrope gets harder with Harris than with someone else, but we will see.

No, he has not. It's not possible to paint either one of them as being in favor of "anarchy". Biden sponsored the 1994 crime bill, and Harris was a tough prosecutor who also came to the defense of members of the local police force who had been accused of excessive force. She declined to prosecute some police officers when it could have... and possibly even should have been done.
