2020 Presidential Race

The fact is, Harris takes away the "Biden is soft on crime" attack. By all accounts, Harris was a ball-breaker as a prosecutor. She showed no leniency at all... maybe even to a fault.
Maybe is putting it kindly.

Once again over compensating for a meh selection to go with the most blase' candidate ever.

Well, Lincoln wanted to deport 'freed' slaves. So, on balance, I'd say Trump wins. Did you compare the jobs report for Blacks between Lincoln and Trump?

How old are you?
It’s amazing to me how little people actually know about Lincoln.

The real force behind freedom for blacks was Ulysses S. Grant

No one did worse with more expectations than Harris in the primaries. It's going to be difficult for Joe to pitch himself as a one term president and attempt to hand the keys to the lady who got absolutely smoked by her own party in the primaries.

Voters who believe Joe Biden isn't all there are not going to be any more excited to vote for Kamala Harris in November than they were in February.

I don't think this pick makes much sense in any way, and the guys here saying slut jokes from the right are the clear path to victory aren't convincing me there is any reason to think otherwise.

To be honest I think the left is so excited over Kamala because they were afraid it was going to be Warren or that crazy ass governor from Michigan . They probably breathed a collective sign of relief .

Honestly, I think they picked her because Joe can't get out and talk about the policy and can't take questions. She'll effectively be the face of the campaign and she loves being the center of attention.

She's essentially the spokesperson
Come on man!

Truth. Yet people who talk about Grant's Presidency tend to focus on the corruption and scandals. My favorite one is Gould and Fisk in trying to corner the gold market. That'd be a cool one to pull off. HA

The fact is, Lincoln said almost nothing about race. He was not that interested in race…Race was not a major intellectual construct for Lincoln…And the 1858 speech was purely defensive. That doesn’t excuse it, but he was being attacked in those debates as believing in negro equality.

I think the fact that he was defending himself from attacks by his opponent in the US Senate race that he was to "liberal" in his views regarding negro equality says a lot. That one quote was bad, but in the context of the debate, he was trying to convince the idiots that he wasn't to liberal. He failed and lost to the bigger racist.

Everyone must be viewed within the context of their time. Lincoln was the more liberal candidate in the race that he lost and he was wise enough to allow his views to evolve over the next few years.
There were real abolistints running.

He openly and on many occasions plainly said the black race was inferior to whites. They could not coexist and they should all be deported.
Lincoln was the original “send them back to Africa” guy.
Why the **** would you want to defend that.
Have you forgotten he’s a Republican?

I realize you’re not very smart having failed in business 2 times. Cried in your daughter’s arms when Trump was elected and now living off the government but this is awful. Even for you.

Go tell that to the hundreds of innocent ppl she knowingly had wrongly convicted as a prosecutor

Actually have not followed her, do not know much about her besides her wanting gun control which is enough to not get my vote. I did not even watch the debates, but I will research her. Thanks for informing me.

I almost feel sorry for Democrats. I remember how I felt in 2008 with McCain / Palin. Ended up sitting that one out.

I am always thankful for people like you because it reminds me exactly why I will never vote Republican. I will give you guys some credit now though as you really don't even try to hide your racism, sexism, or xenophobia anymore and just own it.

You're just one big stinky hateful butthole of a person out of the thousands that I'll never vote for a Democrat.
All you ever do is come here & call people names that don't agree w/you.....you're so hateful to other people.

Why don't you tell us the great things you happen to like about the Democratic Party and their programs?
Or do you just like to come here and be a butthole like most Dems are & rant on the other people about what they like besides your stinky little world.

This wasn't well-written. Are you saying that "slut jokes from the right" are not sexist in nature, and will help Trump with women voters, who already are decidedly against him?

This election isn't about Biden. It's not about Harris. It's a referendum on the train wreck that is Trump.
