Marxist Black Lives Matter

I like this analysis from Zizek::
Take a moment to watch--from the English riots of 2011:

"...the only form protest can take is meaningless violence. Perhaps this is one of the main dangers of capitalism: although by virtue of being global it encompasses the whole world, it sustains a ‘worldless' ideological constellation in which people are deprived of their ways of locating meaning."

"...they also contain a moment of genuine protest, in the form of an ironic response to consumerist ideology: ‘You call on us to consume-- while simultaneously depriving us of the means to do it properly – so here we are doing it the only way we can.’

Slavoj Žižek · Shoplifters of the World Unite · LRB 19 August 2011

You cannot find meaning in a capitalist society?

I think a 10 year old with a gun is absolutely and gut wrenchingly horrible. Of course they are capable of pulling the trigger and killing someone. Not sure about the legalities of calling it murder.
A three year old is capable of pointing a gun and pulling the trigger.
I'm just a little bothered by how easy it is for ten year olds to get their hands on guns.
I'm done, at least temporarily, with gun discussions. It's just pathetic and depressing.
Amazing how you quit right before you get backed into a corner you can't get out of. Same old loother troll different thread.

Seriously? I've had multiple lengthy "discussions" on the gun issue and they always end up in exactly the same place; with me thinking gun nuts are insane and not giving a rip about what the gun nuts think about my positions. The very definition of counter productive.

That tends to happen when one calls others gun nuts for wanting to keep their 2a rights as they are laid out for us in the constitution. I can’t speak for everyone but when you say .. “ hey gun nut “ we need to have a reasonable and rational discussion about restricting your rights , I tend be less inclined to open up to a discussion. 😊

Your problem is that you believe that any true pro 2A person is a “gun nut”. Your other issue is substituting your emotional feelings on the issue for logical thinking and actual law

Are you saying I need to work on my delivery?
I tried that. My first debate in the PF was in the gun thread, that's when I reached the "gun nut" conclusion.
