It's the point that they are setting up the top 4. If we played Auburn again it should have been in Knoxville. If we lose to them we lose the momentum we got when we beat them and ate recruiting against them. Losing to LSU would not have been as bad. But Missouri got AL and LSU added. Why do people care about Auburn? They return one on the OL and he only started half their games. Nix is mediocre at best and they lost their two star DT's. Malzahn sucks and Auburn will be no better than 5-5 this year. One of their LBs just opted out of the season too.
Wpuldve made more sense to give us LSU. Return the trip from 2018 and A&M comes to Knoxville first time since 2016.It's the point that they are setting up the top 4. Having to quarantine a few days. Daughter got the covid and was over here a night a few days ago. So now, we wait four days and hope for nothing. She has very mild symptoms and the rest of us are symptom free. Prayers it stays that way.

From Brent Hubbs:
“
Thanks to Austin for all his work the last 90 mins on this.
This was clearly a business decision. The SEC looked at the teams who have the best option of making the playoffs and they set it up for those teams to have the best path. The SEC certainly wants to get two teams in the playoffs.
Remember, this is all about the money.”
