I think Maurer as a true freshman beanpole certainly proved his toughness and heart last season. But yes, we need him to put on weight so he doesn't get snapped in half...
Wonder if we will ever see Hill?
Needs to work on some offense. Plenty of exposure on this next team if he comes backPer Rob Lewis:
I have talked to a couple of people that I trust tonight who are close to the situation and I’m led to believe that no one, including Yves Pons himself knows what he’s going to do.
Not having a combine, not being able to work out for scouts has made an already difficult decision for a potential 2nd round guy even more difficult.
He is pushing it to the last minute.
I just hope you understand that it's probably all over the Football Forum that you you've predicted 13-0 and A National ChampionshipTeam is looking surprising good and quite sharp so far in the work they are doing. The coaches were caught off guard at how good the kids have looked to date. I am getting a very positive vibe internally right now which I have not gotten before. TIFWIW
From a poster on the Gator board
"Copeland just finished a live video on Instagram where he had some wild takes, and I’ll summarize them real quick:
-he wants to get paid
-Says the coaches don’t care for the players
-Someone asked if Mullen was a racist he responded with “what do you think”
Throughout the broadcast there were a few current players chiming in
Obviously these are some heated takes, but I was surprised by some of them."
JG is all head...he does everything right in practice...correct reads etc. As soon as he enters the game he has a complete mental breakdown. Throws it to exact opposite spot of what the situation calls for. He drives the staff nutty.
BM has a TON of upside. He can run and throw and throw accurately on the run...his biggest issue was time with the playbook and his health. I believe if he stays healthy and can prove he knows what he is doing he will be our QB.
HB...very good raw talent...but not a superstar from day 1. Could he be...yes but he is not the knight in shining armor everyone is making him out to be. Every coach I have spoken to all agree that he has the fundamentals to be a very good qb and what remains to be seen is how he will play in a college game when the lights go on. Could he be great...yes but we won’t really know until he sees the field.
