Pretty sure @butchna is getting at the fact that he has very few highlights in 4 years of being at USC.

Does that mean anything? No, he could come here and be magnificent, but I don’t think you really have to worry about Velus making plays once he has the ball..... I think you have to be worried about our QB making the throws to our WRs.

Also, for someone who wants to talk shop you get very defensive. How about you counter his comment with why you are excited by Velus’ highlights.

Like I can appreciate a straight whiskey, but I haven't worked on my pallet hard enough to want to drink it straight. I guess. Even if it's smooth and top shelf t's still hard to sit there and casually drink it. With the coke or ginger ale you still taste that good whiskey and it goes down easy.

Maurer made big time plays last year and has the personality that you want. He’s just so fragile tho.

He was a freshman that really wasn’t in the SC program long.he was super skinny coming out of high school so in that aspect he wasn’t ready but mentally he was.

We need to make the QB live all fall camp. The pass rush could use the training and we have enough QBs to sustain an injury. Plus JG needs nothing more than the live bullets flying.

Pas rush and QB. That will put us ahead. And if history is any indicator, we will know very soon if Harrison Bailey is the real deal, and, if so, he will start games as a frosh. He simply can’t wait on the bench if he’s got a grasp of the playbook and can make all the throws. Of course, this is an atypical offseason, I have no idea what to expect.
