2020 Presidential Race

Anyone with a modicum of objectivity should be able to recognize that Biden is far more likely to be experiencing mental decline than Trump. The test that Trump "allegedly" (this is where you start to sound crazy, for what it's worth) took is by no means difficult, by design, yet is a test at which Biden would fare far worse given what we've seen over the last six months from both individuals.
And yet, Trump has continued to insist that this test was difficult. You are seeing only what you want to see. Trump is an imbecile.

Here is the latest batch of polls. There is finally one showing Trump with a lead (albeit, just one point) in a state of true consequence. I was beginning to think we would never see another one.

... and once again, if you don't trust polls, that is fine. I get it. Just ignore this post if that is the case. This is just for the people who do trust polling data, and are interested in seeing some of the results. If you aren't interested or don't trust polling data, then just ignore this post. I don't need any more references to 2016.
Thanks Poll Brother.

The election will be close regardless of what the polls are saying. The difference is Trump’s pool of likely voters is much smaller simply based on the nation’s changing demographics and he needs a very high percentage of those voters to turn out than Biden who can still win with a relatively lower turnout. Trump’s constant combativeness has soured some of those potential voters which he can ill afford to based off of his tight margins of victory in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Joe Biden simply has to exist and not say something stupid in order to have a great chance at winning. The Republican Party did this to themselves when they pushed for cheap labor and now those policies have created a huge influx of minority voters who overwhelmingly vote Democratic. Even if Trump somehow manages to eek out a victory, the Republican Party as a long term viable option is in decline due to the aforementioned issue and its inability to distinguish itself on most issues from the Democrats. There is no real difference between McConnel, Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Graham, Thune, Grassley, and most Democrats other than political banter.

Damn, three spot-on sentences.

Reagan had a severe disdain for the press. The difference was he could insult them with a joke and Trump has zero people skills or the ability to kill with humor.

The issue is the media is very bias in 2020, a million times more so than the early 80s, and the miscommunication and straight propaganda is so vivid that no one truly knows what to believe anymore.

Reagan was not perfect either and had some major flaws and some of his policies have drastically hurt this country. He is just the best President we have had in decades so he has been placed on a pedestal.

Outside of Reagan and clinton every president we have had since JFK has been straight trash.
What did Regan and Clinton have in common? They worked with the other party. Foreign concept these days

Both parties used to stand for certain key values like patriotism, military, law and order, budgets, etc. That isn’t the case anymore. There are certain very vocal elements of both parties who are openly combative against those key values which makes working together nearly impossible

Good thing those aren't the exact type of voters that Biden needs to successfully court in order to win on November 3rd.
So Axios did a focus groups with a group of voters who are never going to vote for Biden anyway. Let’s do some math and for the fun of it assume this is representative of the state as a whole (which a sample size of 9 definitely isn’t). 2/9 = 22% reversion, which by itself is probably enough to put it back in the D column. But the goal isn’t to get this 22% to vote for Biden. The goal is to get the ones who stayed home in 2016 to vote for Biden. Also focus group research under 100 people is garbage research.

And while you are talking about Lincoln Project contributors shout out to the guy from Connecticut who gave them $1 million.

Bernie Sanders Delegates Plot Convention Rebellion If Dems Don’t Put Medicare-For-All In Party Platform

Presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s deal with supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was never officially finalized, despite overt efforts on the part of Biden’s campaign to include Sanders supporters at the highest levels of his presidential effort.

Now, Sanders delegates — more than 360 in total — say they may not be willing to play along with the more moderate candidate’s proposed party platform, and they’re pledging to withhold support of the if the Democrats don’t include an explicit endorsement of Sanders’ “Medicare-for-All” plan.

“More than 360 delegates, most of whom back Sanders, have signed on to a pledge to vote against the Democratic Party’s platform if it does not include support for ‘Medicare for All,'” POLITICO reported Monday. “They argue that single-payer health care is an urgent priority amid a worldwide pandemic and the biggest unemployment crisis since the Great Depression.”

Maybe he could change some minds, or is planning on being POTUS if only 1/2 the citizens?
Does this mean Trump only wants to be POTUS to half the country since he refuses to do an interview on MSNBC this weekend? And since posters on here want to call Biden a coward for not doing the Wallace interview on Fox News, would that also make Trump a coward for refusing an interview with Rachel Maddow?

Yikes at those NC numbers for Trump. He's got far more ground to make up than people will admit.

So, uh, which is it? It's as if you, predictably, don't understand the concept of focus groups or what this one entailed.

Biden taking the same test as Trump would help dispel a lot of the concern regarding his mental faculties and ability to assume the office.

Biden will not take such a test because there is a legitimate chance the results would indicate that he's in the midst of mild to moderate stages of dementia. I understand that might be irrelevant to many people whose disdain for Trump is their driving force to get out and vote, but I assure you that many moderate voters and backers of other Democratic candidates during the primaries would immediately lose faith in Biden.

I think we all need to be honest here. Trump passing the "test" had absolutely no impact on my opinion of him. And Biden passing the same test would have no effect on Trump supporters' opinion of him, either.
