Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

So in actuality you agree that referring to this particular virus as THE pandemic is incorrect and it should be referred to with a more specific name because what you just described is 100's of different diseases. Ergo, when you refer to this particular disease you are purposefully using a word that may or may not strike unreasonable fear where it doesn't belong.
It would only strike fear in someone, if they don't know what it means. Personally, I don't customize my vocabulary to accommodate the ignorance of others. It's just a general description. You seem to think of the word "pandemic" as being a political dog whistle on the part of liberals. That is weird. Trump has called the Coronavirus a "pandemic" in several of his tweets. Pandemic is an appropriate, but general description of the disease.

Because it is A pandemic but not THE pandemic. I'm done. Try to appear intelligent if you can.

How else do you describe a worldwide contagious disease?
This one I CALL Covid 19. Others I call SARS, Swine (or barry as we are now doing) Flu, the Flu, a cold, rotovirus, cholera and any other name that is appropriate to describe exactly what is being talked about. It is a pandemic? Yes. Is it THE pandemic? No.

Are you serious with this? LOL. You seem easily flustered over semantics.
I am when you use a commonly misunderstood term with intent to strike fear. That is all the use of that word does now. And not easily flustered, I usually don't take a stance on your other ********.
