I don’t think any place will match NYC. It’s one of the most densely populated in the U.S.

No it isn't and your original answer is proof. Don't lie dude, it's unbecoming. Pandemic is heard by many as something like epidemic. You know it, I know it, most of the posters here know it so pretending that the use of the word predominantly by the left isn't simply an attempt to scare your uneducated base is just stupid. Just say flu, or Covid, or common cold or virus. Nobody gives two ***** that you can catch the same crap in Europe as you can here. It's a nonsensical use of the word.

That and they were truly behind the eight ball. Politicians were openly telling people to live their normal life even into early March. Then it took 2-3 weeks to get people on board with quarantine. By then it was out of control.

Pandemic is used by people who know what it means, when they are trying to describe the Coronavirus in a more general term... and it isn't just used by the left. President Donald Trump has frequently referred to the Coronavirus as being a "pandemic". There is no reason for anyone to be more alarmed by the use of this term... if they know what it means. You are projecting your own ignorance onto others. It's a completely apt use of the word... and once again, what else would you call it when describing it? It's not the cold and it's not the seasonal flu.

You are a sensitive little snowflake who is getting his panties in a bind over semantics.

Maybe you use an urban dictionary that says and pandemic kills zillions and can be caught from looking at someone. That's the way it sounds by the way it's thrown around. I would call it the China Virus, Covid 19 or whatever. They didn't refer to SARS as a pandemic everytime it was referred to, they called it SARS. If you can't see that the continued use of the word pandemic right now is simply trying to stir fear, you are as crooked as 99% of the politicians today. Anyway, it's disingenuous to call it "the pandemic" or "this pandemic" because it isn't the ONLY pandemic going on right now. Why would you refer to it as "The Pandemic" when that term can refer to any of a hundred diseases that exist in the world right now. Why not call it the China Flu or the Wuhan Flu after where it originated. That is pretty dang specific.

P.S. the only ignorance here is from you and your ilk thinking that by using that term for this you are meaning anything other than a disease that has escaped a natural boundary. Stop lying and just own up to the fact that you are trying to play to the ignorant fears of others. If you think you are being intelligent by using it, you aren't.

60% of the cases here are Hispanic and they are less than 5% of the population. They must be all those Trump loving Hispanics. Also look at the border counties in Texas with rampant infections. They are 90%+ Hispanic and vote Democrat by massive margins. San Antonio is the same way.
