teaching is much different - try teaching a 1st grader from home -- yeah simple isnt it ?
I did teach my first grader from home. It was a chore, but I was able to get the hang of it. You know they have this device called a computer. And some of those computers have cameras AND microphones built into them. We were able to meet with his teacher everyday, and I was able to go over his work with him. Amazing what being an engaged parent consists of.

This.explains the resistance to the masks and social responsibility.

You think you guys have screwed it enough to where that's an option?
I think I would have rather been a mixture of Sweden with going about our lives close to normal and Germany where they really secured the elderly and the sick.

If they don't work, they are lazy....
They want government handouts....
They need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps....
Also true...

Y'all seem to be under the impression that there is a good solution where everything works, the economy is great, everyone is happy all the time, and no one ever ever gets hurt.

Hindsight as foresight would.have been great, but we.didmt have the necessities then. Not sure we.do now, but this is how it will have to be, regardless.

Is that what you would tell inner city kids that don’t have a computer? Don’t have access to to food so they can concentrate ? Don’t have parents around to help guide them through the process and requirements? Damn I sound like a liberal this is a crazy ass year .

So now you care about inner city kids? Wow....

No everyone does not, but teachers can. So they can do all they need to do from their home.
If it’s the same “education” my daughter received during the initial shutdown then it’s worthless. 2 hours a day of school work. Many days with accessibility issues because the work wasn’t loaded properly. Once a week checking in with the students on a video call. It was hot garbage. So we did what we had to do to keep her up to speed. Hired a tutor. Bought her supplemental materials that we worked with her on.
It’s amazing to me all these private schools in GA are going forward with on premise classes but the public schools aren’t. You could even do half the class 2 days a week and the other 3 to keep class sizes down. Flip it the next week. At least then they are getting half of what they should be getting.

Of course I care about how kids are treated , that’s why I’m always harping on urban cities liberal leadership . Seems logical to me where the responsibility lies . I know , I know ..that’s not how the blame game / taking responsibility / deflection works
