Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

We are living in a world where the Publix cashier, the liquor store stocker, and the Togo specialist at Applebee’s are essential but teachers aren’t. We should remind the teachers union of that the next time they biatch and moan about pay etc

I really hope many parents learn how they can do this at home. And then keep doing it.

The places I go are still showing some common sense for now, the only place I have went in the last 2 weeks that had a sign requiring a face mask was a Subway and only about 1 out of 12 was wearing one. It was beautiful.
If it were just up to me then I would never wear a mask. However, if a business requires one and I want to enter their premises then I do comply. I have forgotten my mask a couple times and remembered after entering but the employees said I was ok without.

You mean the part where he started with the assumption that it was the presidents job to do everything for the nation before the states themselves did anything?

I would define that as wanting someone else to do your job for you. No no no, it's their job to take care of my people. And then once they screw up my duties enough I then step in. Only in the government could that be an argument.
So you in fact did not read it. Why comment negatively on something you haven’t read?

This notion will get buried or laughed at, but I’ve wondered if there wasn’t something to this...

I’ve wondered this as well. Not just Northerners but vacationers period for Florida. It certainly makes sense and I know a lot of people that have gone to Florida the last couple of months for vacation. Has anyone seen data for Florida by county? If those counties that aren’t vacation hotspots are also surging then maybe the theory isn’t correct. It’s tough to prove either way.

I just got back from Gatlinburg and I can tell you that it was packed. I’d guess maybe the volume of people was very slightly down from the norm but not much at all. I bet it has been that way the whole time too. People wearing masks outside was roughly 25%. I’m estimating about 90% of adults wore masks while indoors as required by the county. No one said a word to anyone that didn’t wear one though.

The German government made universal rules and Germany appears to be in great shape now. First of all, we needed coordinated supply acquisition and testing. We should have still been on mandatory masks. Unfortunately, little hands Donny abdicated his authority out of concern for being re-elected.
We’ve tested almost 14% of our population while Germany has tested about 7.5% of their population. Since Germany did so well according to you I guess we can cross off the need for testing at a high rate.

Hotel 3 days then back home. I get stipends for hotel, travel and food. Right now decent hotels are dirt cheap because not many traveling. I'll make a deal with one I know is clean.
Since you can find a dirt cheap hotel this might not matter but I worked in Nashville for 6 months and would drive from Knoxville over there Monday morning or Sunday evening sometimes and then back on Friday afternoon. I did the hotel for a while but then found an Air B&B I liked for like 35-40 a night and made a deal with the owner to rent it each week so she would always hold it for me. Saved a ton of money and it was better than being in a hotel as it became a home away from home. I almost never saw the owner and could come and go as I pleased. Just a thought.

Good idea, thank you.

That hilariously backfires on the maker, and you for reposting.

It calls a person an idiot. Singular. Yet it cites the plural "them" to make its point about a single person.

Additionally, it refers to person "lacking" math skills, when it means "lacks."

Maker also means "Adopts," not "Adopt."

And in last sentence refers to "them" for the definition of a singular "idiot."

Basically, the meme demonstrates that the maker is a moron at several levels. And that makes me laugh since the maker is calling out someone else (someones?) as an idiot.
