I went to a race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in '94. A friend's dad gave us tickets and we borrowed a pop-up camper so we could get the full effect (camped outside, not on the infield). The best part was the camping/tailgating Saturday night. Actually had topless women walk into our little area and put on a show. It met all of my expectations of what a NASCAR event was all about (mostly negative). I never returned. Some years, I will watch a few laps of the Daytona 500, but that's about it. I went to the US Grand Prix F-1 race twice when it was being run at Indy and it was a blast. We would have followed that race to Texas but the track is very isolated and we never got the logistics worked out. We will definitely go to Miami GP, if it happens.I tried to “get” NASCAR years ago. I went to my first race at Charlotte. I think Dale Jr won for one of the fist times that night. It was 1999 or 2000. I was more entertained by the fans. I’ll never forget this one guy. He wasn’t wearing a shirt and had a confederate flag tattoo that covered his entire chest. He was pouring his beer into a half a plastic water bottle and he flipped off every car that passed him. Not sure who he was rooting for. Other than that, the constant left turns just didn’t excite me that much. No offense intended for you loyal fans. Everyone is different.
NASCAR loved the story from the get go and RAN with it. They won't say s*** because they benefited from it
The in-often used term that will save America "I was wrong"
Even an "oops" but no one wants to walk back their mistakes, not NASCAR, The FBI, the White House (whoever is in office) Congress, or VN posters.
It takes the bigger man (yep, women don't make mistakes) to admit his mistakes so that others don't make them too.

IMO, anyone still referring to the garage pull as a noose is still perpetuating racism.
By continuing to refer to it as a "noose"? Absolutely.
Wow, you guys are deriving a lot of meaning out of that. So what's his new theory then? Some time-traveling racist planted it in October knowing it would be his stall?
You guys are mad because this story was one extreme jump to a false conclusion and ironically, you are ready and willing to jump to a conclusion about BW.
LMAO well the stereotype does apply I’ll be the first to admit that. And I won’t confirm or deny that I’ve offered a couple of two gun salutes over the years for some BS on the track.I tried to “get” NASCAR years ago. I went to my first race at Charlotte. Yes he doubled down on stupid once it was shown to have been there since at least 2019 and overplayed the victim card. And I’m a fan of his saying that and spoke out in defense of him initially.Well, well, well...it was a noose. So did Bubba "double down on stupid" when he reiterated that it was a noose?... @Weezer was he trying to perpetuate that racism was at play by correctly calling it a noose?...or did people here ironically and erroneously jump to conclusions after getting so worked up about people jumping to conclusions?

Yes. Let's hear the conspiracy theories. It's photoshopped, right?
