George Floyd Protest/Riots

There were two officers on scene, right? If he had used the taser on the one and went for his gun, then the other cop would have been justified in shooting him. The whole carjacking thing is a hypothetical meant to deflect. They could have pursued without shooting. They could have even fired a warning shot into the ground. But they did neither of those things. A choice was made, and now the law will decide whether or not it was justified. My personal opinion is there were other, better options, and that lethal force was not needed. We'll see what the courts decide.
It’s illegal to fire warning shots and NO Officer does that. This is the stuff I’m talking about where knowing law and police procedures goes a long way to understanding these incidents

We get it my friend. It’s not racism to you unless the murderers admit they did it for racism. Not sure if the Wendy’s killing was racially motivated. Yet, somehow Jerry lived....

I believe in justice which is based on facts. You believe in social justice which is based on FEELINGS. The former is the foundation of a healthy society. The latter is what we’re seeing the effects of now

It’s not alarmist. It’s basic understanding of TN VS Garner.

“Probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or other serious physical injury” is far from open-and-shut, and I’d imagine that several courts have wrestled with the application of that to a guy with a taser. That kind of interpretation is almost always complicated

“Justice” isn’t based on facts

Guess we will see what happens

Nope. Police should only be able to spit back in their face. And, if the suspect pulls out a knife, the policeman should only be able to pull out a knife, too. Police should carry several different weapons.
There are people who have never trained in defensive tactics or been in a real fight who don’t even grasp the concept

I live by a very simple set of rules . They have served me well over my lifetime , I don’t see a reason to change something that works . I’ve also taught my kids these rules , I expect them to also live by them . Be nice to others , until it’s time to not be nice , don’t cheat , don’t lie , don’t take what’s not yours , don’t put your hands on other people , respect your elders and help them when you can , take responsibility for your self and your actions and learn from your mistakes . Very simple , very straight forward .
I agree with everything in this post, which doesn't reflect the same reasoning as your first post

The whole video is on YouTube..... the guy is shot while pointing the stun gun at the cops..... it is a good shoot......there is no way on world I would be a cop in this type of environment.

that case was different as there was no immediate threat and the officer lied about what happened.
Slager lied too, yes.

Walter Scott had assaulted a police officer and stolen his deadly taser. Who knows what Walter Scott was capable of?

He could’ve used the weapon to carjack someone, hold them hostage and he could’ve incapacitated the officer and stole his firearm

Good point. But Slager still got 20 years.

Give me a break.
You need a Kit Kat?

Because of his actions and planting evidence. Scott didn’t actually have the taser.

Please explain

It’s a moral concept. Justice or “fairness” aren’t any more fact-based than social justice is.

Legality, maybe, but lots of crappy things have been “legal” in this country so shilling for the law hasn’t been so great either

Oh yes sir it does ... Don’t take what’s not yours , take responsibility for your actions , be nice until it’s time not to be , don’t put your hands on others . These are things I believe in they are rules I live by . When you break through my locked door to come into my home , I assume you are here to take what’s not yours , I will assume you knew I was home and are willing to put your hands on me or my family , you have created a situation that dictates my actions will not to be nice , I will take responsibility for my actions . Very simple , very straightforward.

Maybe you just worded it poorly
