George Floyd Protest/Riots

I started not to post anything but I feel we should all say how we feel. I'm a black man that grew up in East Knoxville. I went to high school at Knox Central in the early 90's and experienced racism firsthand whether it was a 10 year old kid calling me foul names or getting harassed by the cops. Instead of becoming bitter, it only made me more determined to break down the social barriers and love my fellow man who didn't look like me (One of my best friends is a 60 year old white man who loves Georgia football. Go figure!). Yet here I am going on 48 years and I see this continuing to play out like a bad movie that wont end. Everything you see going on is, at face value, nothing but evil and if we continue to ignore it instead of stamping out the racism that plagues our society (yes it exists amongst Christian folk too), then it will affect the next generation which includes my children. Its time we all made a stand. Thank you and God bless!

I can't wait until the Dems import enough immigrants to turn the whole country into another Chicago. There are 50 Wards in Chicago, 46 of which are represented by Democrat City Councilmen. The other 4 are Independents. Not a Republican in sight anywhere in city government. That is what we need for the U.S. Then, all of our problems will disappear.

Blue font next time?

I would argue that law enforcement/1st responders/Emergency Department staff see the worst of the worst of humanity every day and it does have an effect. But i would venture that they have more accurate outlook of actual humanity and their motivations and flaws and weaknesses than any other profession as well. Definitely moreso than a politician, journalist, lawyer, teacher, etc
It does change you. I've promised myself when my empathy and compassion go, so do I.

Wow .. what a bunch of pandering candy asses
I'm in shock I didn't think A&E would cancel it. I assumed it would be put on hiatus until fall.

I now wouldn't be surprised if the networks go after some of their top rated shows Law & Order, Chicago PD on NBC, the NCIS & FBI franchise on CBS, etc...
