Honestly, it seems like that's the case unless you have the money to buy your way in, which creates its own set of problems.Have you considered that it's systemic? That the system is so corrupt that the only way someone can make it to the level of national tickets is if they've been vetted as corrupt enough to be trusted with the position?
Think how hard the two major parties work to keep other parties and independents off of ballots.Have you considered that it's systemic? It'd be nice of both sides stopped broad-brushing. The Rs paint all Ds as skinny jean wearing social justice warrior fringe left lunatics that get pregnant just to have abortions. The Ds paint all Rs as uneducated crazy racists.Oh no. One crazy woman definitely speaks for everyone!
You mean like having the entire system turn on a dime to spy on your campaign, abuse the justice system to frame your cabinet, abuse the senate to politically hamstring you, and use all of the above in tandem with the media to try to convince the world that you're a Manchurian Candidate?Honestly, it seems like that's the case unless you have the money to buy your way in, which creates its own set of problems.
I've spoken out against the absurdity of how Trump has been treated, but at the same time, I don't really see Trump as a good candidate. The man's ego hamstrings him, and the fact he has no filter is a major liability. But yes, the system has totally worked to undermine him from day one.You mean like having the entire system turn on a dime to spy on your campaign, abuse the justice system to frame your cabinet, abuse the senate to politically hamstring you, and use all of the above in tandem with the media to try to convince the world that you're a Manchurian Candidate?
Those kinds of problems that absolutely DO NOT indicate that the system is so corrupt that you have to be corrupt to play at that table?
Trump is a boarish oaf.I've spoken out against the absurdity of how Trump has been treated, but at the same time, I don't really see Trump as a good candidate. The inherent problem with wealthy people tends to be they're used to getting their way which means they don't play well with others. Ideally, government should be about working together for the betterment of the citizenry. But our government has been beset by rot for quite some time.Trump is a boarish oaf.
From what I understand, it's also to do with where he's from and how they do business with one another. I suspect there's also more than a little inferiority complex and overcompensation for something. The inherent problem with wealthy people tends to be they're used to getting their way which means they don't play well with others. And is whole lot of common sense! There have been lots of idiots doing that and, again, the whole English-only/“Spanish speakers should learn English” line of thinking is very Republican

And is whole lot of common sense!
If I moved to Mexico, Germany, Spain etc... I would expect to have to learn the local language why shouldn't someone moving into the United States be expected to do the same?
