In an interview with the Daily Mail, BLM New York chapter Chairman Hawk Newsome described how the group plans to follow in the footsteps of the Black Panthers Party by matching fire with fire – when necessary.

“We have black Special Forces officers advising us, and we will teach and train people in our communities, the Black Opts department of Black Opportunities,” Newsome said.

“We pattern ourselves after the Black Panthers, after the Nation of Islam, we believe that we need an arm to defend ourselves,” Newsome explained. “We will build and train peace officers to keep the peace in our communities, to defend our communities, to keep our communities safe.”

Why don't you Black Panther retreads patrol your own damn neighborhoods and push the thugs out, which will lessen the need for police presence. Doh!

So how many nights are they going to keep this up? 🤔

Is this the new normal? Is anarchy the new normal for night time hours, will we have to rush home from work to make sure our families are safley locked in our homes by sunset before the monsters come out?

When is enough is enough?

I agree he didn’t . That’s what pisses me off. He didn’t say anything wrong at all. He just said something that people will find not in line with today’s landscape. We’re all supposed to be having this conversation. Well i guess it’s fine to have a conversation about race and kneeling and whatever until you have a POV that might be different than others.

Would love to see the upcoming polls on this, because generally it seems:

- more people than ever are willing to say “black lives matter” (and fewer support its “all lives matter” rebuke)

- more people than ever have a positive opinion of Colin Kaepernick

- more people than ever support the removal of Confederate statues

When all four officers are charged with murder one. The protesters have said that even though all four have been arrested, it's not enough.

News flash, it will never be enough. They could hang the MPD en masse and it won't be enough. When you don't have an actual goal you're never satisfied.

People who are honestly making the argument that “they’re arrested, that should be enough” are missing the point by a mile (and tbh I think they themselves know it’s a stretch)
