George Floyd Protest/Riots

Jail time is not longer just because someone is black 🙄 and they also are not the majority of prisoners in jail

no one at Michigan “coughed on cops” or broke any laws
their grievances ARE wrong and burning stores, assaulting defenseless people in cars and wheelchairs and looting are criminal behavior not justified in ANY way shape or form except to apologists and enablers
The new king of white privilege has spoken...

I see it as they are saying that they are police, but they don't condone brutality.

Right. So let me ask you this. How many police do you think do support brutality, if you had to ball park it?

It's obviously not zero. So what is the cutoff between "We punish the bad ones when we find them" and "The entire system is currupt, racist, and brutal"?

They are also doing it because they believe Antifa is posting addresses and calling for threats against families. Also, they believe the water bottles may be gasoline, which is what makes the firecrackers so threatening. Not saying either of those are likely (probably not), but I fully understand the concern.

I believe if they want to be peaceful, they can be, but the second someone in the crowd throws something or hits a cop is the second they all need to go or be arrested.

Most of these buildings downtown are comm masonry or non combustible.

Neither catch fire that easily, not like a frame building.

I am hearing the water bottles have contained gasoline. I haven't gotten conclusive data back yet but that is what is being reported in multiple areas.

Bottle goes first then the fire crackers. This was caught on a security cam that was streaming to a cloud back up server.

The thing that I don't understand is, if these rioters are mad at the cops, then they should go after them and their property and leave everybody else alone. Why just randomly start **** with other property owners who may also be fed up with cops? It's mindlessness.

Pretty admirable of police to march with people that 18x more likely to kill them than the other way around.

The cops don't have any shoes to steal.

When I saw the video of George Floyd being killed I was angry and was certainly engaged in following what would become of the situation. Now that has been completely overshadowed by the scumbags disrupting and destroying this nation. I hold nothing but disdain for each and every one of the rioters and the protesters who are providing cover for them by continuing their protest in the face of the knowledge that they are propagating unrest and destruction.

Rioters and looters should be shot. I have no problem with saying that. Martial Law should be imposed and whatever level of force should be used that is necessary to stop it in it's tracks.

If you asked them, I doubt anyone is going to say I support brutality, but there are bad cops. The thing is, you can just over look it and cover up, or you can stand up against it. It's like a political party-- you can go along with the crowd or you can be called a RINO which can cause you quite a bit of trouble, but may help you sleep better. (and same with the Democrats, or youth peer pressure etc)

I'm thinking charging these guys plus all the the video around, might change some things. I am hoping anyway.

I dont think they will be able to convict on murder 2 based on the prerequisites and I doubt the others will be convicted on anything.

Think the drugs in his system will throw a curveball.

Think he will plead and it will be dropped to manslaughter.

I just wonder if we will see more riots if that's the outcome.

Anything short of first degree I think we see more. Also if they charge him with something and they can't prove it so he gets acquitted we haven't seen anything yet
