Yes, I’ve lived through all the riots since the 60’s. There has been no leadership to cease these Events from occurring . Politicians looking to be re-elected (LBJ) enacted legislation that was mis directed to offer a helping hand in a manner that turned out to be enabling rather than helpful. You think it’s better right now? . I don’t. Starting with Rodney King it just got quieter. Quieter has not been better it’s just more intense festering underneath. More legislation helped minorities become first time house buyers to the criticism of white America Structured violence against blacks finally got news print as opposed to earlier black men who were dragged off to their death behind pick up trucks never to be seen or heard of again. But until white Americans decide they have to be part of the solution there will be no solution. Unarmed black men will continue to have their lives snuffed out by rogue cops

William Barr will continue to enable Trump by dispersing legally demonstrating folks so Trump could first threaten to sic the military on Americans in their own states ( an illegal act). The demonstrators were hit with tear gas and rubber bullets so Trump could have his picture tsken holding a Bible in front of the “Presidents” church

‘A Protester Shot My Sister!’: 22-Year-Old Woman Killed in Iowa

A 22-year-old biracial woman was killed early Monday during a protest in Davenport, Iowa, after she had joined a protest and was leaving, according to a local news report.

Italia Marie Kelly, after leaving work on Sunday evening, had joined a protest over the death of African American man George Floyd, according to Quad City Times.

She and a friend were getting into a car to leave a protest outside of a Walmart around midnight when she was struck in the back by a bullet that went through her shoulder and chest, likely killing her instantly, according to her aunt. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Her younger sister, Jasmine Kelly, 19, recorded a Facebook Live video where she was sobbing and pleading for protesters to stop.

“A protester shot my sister! A protester!” she said. “You are so mad at the police that you are hurting everyone else.”

Later, she added: “This was the ignorance of every single one of y’all that decided to shoot into a crowd. That bullet just happened to hit my sister.”

This will happen at some point. Too easy. Too many large crowds and too many individuals looking for their 15 minutes of fame on the way out the exit door.

So this video reinforces what my experiences have been when I discuss police brutality toward blacks with others. The collective (paraphrased) response I get is pretty much: Until black people demonstrate care and concern for their own race, the majority of people (all races) aren't going to take their grievances regarding the police (whether real or imagined) seriously. Based on the data (Black lives lost to Police vs. lives lost to Black-on-Black crime), it is difficult to really believe they mean what they say, when they say "Black Lives Matter". It is a sad state of affairs.

Local who? If this spills out into rural areas they'll be overrun. I live in a county that borders Hamilton Co. (Chattanooga) and if it was to spill over to here between the county & city LEO's there is a total of probably 20-25 to stop it!

If their hands aren’t tied by the politicians 20-25 armed men could stop it in under 30 minutes.
