Minnesota To File Civil Rights Charge Against Minneapolis PD, Investigate For ‘Systemic Discriminatory Practices’

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) has directed the Minnesota Department of Human Rights to investigate the Minneapolis Police Department, in addition to filing a civil rights charge against the police department in the death of George Floyd.

The investigation will focus on policies, procedures, and practices from the last decade, in order to determine whether the police department has “engaged in systemic discriminatory practices toward people of color,” The department said in a press release.

82nd Airborne Division Arrives to DC Metro Area with Black Hawks and Chinooks

An 82nd Airborne Division’s Immediate Response Force battalion arrived to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland Monday evening for a civil unrest mission in the nation’s capitol, according to sources.

The IRF battalion — which deployed to Iraq earlier this year to quell Iran-backed violence — brought approximately 750 soldiers, ten Black Hawk helicopters, and four Chinooks, according to sources. The helicopters are utility, not attack, and are used to transport troops short distances.

The aircraft are just one of the ways troops could be transported, but would give the IRF the ability to rapidly deploy to a number of locations in the D.C. Metro area quickly.

The force was ordered to the region on Monday afternoon, after being told to be ready on Saturday, sources told Breitbart News.

Two more IRF battalions have been put on short-notice alert status — meaning they would have to be ready to deploy within two hours if ordered.

The orders to the IRF and other active-duty military units come as President Trump urged state governors to take back the streets from rioters, who have engaged in a spree of violence, looting, destruction of property, and other crimes.

Oh, and the Coast Guard is exempt from Posse Comitatus and in their very makeup have law enforcement authorities.

Dems are posturing and screeching because they know POTUS really does have the power and they are terrified. What exactly are they so afraid of that they’ll not only let but encourage this blatant destruction of their cities? It can’t just be an election can it?

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) on Monday rejected a request from the Trump administration to send his state’s National Guard to help quell heated protesters and riots in Washington, D.C., sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“I am not going to send our men and women in uniform of a very proud National Guard to Washington for a photo-op,” Northam said during a Tuesday press conference in Richmond.


Northam reportedly refused a request for troops in a Monday call with Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, citing concern that D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was unaware of the matter, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The Pentagon reportedly asked Virginia to deploy between 3,000 and 5,000 National Guard members to the nation’s capital.
