'21 NC DT Payton Page (Clemson commit)

Anna Hickey, as of earlier today said she still thinks he’s going to pick the tigers and would be surprised if he picked UT. Guess it depends on which insiders know more.
Anna is pretty much money. If she flips her CB, it's as good as a Callahan CB.

Whereas some schools have lined up the timing of announcements, Clemson is allowing its momentum to come together organically.

To a degree, of course.

There reaches a point in many pursuits where a coaching staff feels it has shown you everything its school has to offer as well as allowed considerable time for research and deliberations of other options.

At some point, you’re in or your out.

Contrary to rumors we’ve picked up from the trail, we would tell you the Tigers have not begun applying such pressure to Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley four-star defensive tackle Payton Page, per sources close to the prospect.

Page (6-4, 335), ranked No. 30 in the country, narrowed his list last month to the three established contenders: Clemson, UNC and Tennessee.

He has worn the bull’s-eye from defensive tackles coach Todd Bates since Clemson turned an eye to the 2021 class last spring – to the point we’re not sure the Tigers would take a defensive tackle if Page elected to go in another direction.

Page was the lone defensive tackle at the program’s elite junior day in January, took in two games at Death Valley last fall and has visited Clemson more than either competitor.

In our May 4 edition, we cited returns pointing to Tennessee surpassing UNC as Clemson’s chief threat.

We would say those rumblings have intensified over the last week from some contacts connected to this recruitment.

Our information continues to indicate, though, that Page wants to make his commitment before his senior season.

He just might have to do so without using his official visits, as desired.

The clock is ticking.

Those pricks had Bama syndrome before they'd won a meaningful game. Talk about entitled. Never forget their behaviour in Atl during Peach Bowl. Very Corndogesque.
