GIANT VOLS GIVE GATORS NIGHTMARES
GIANT VOLS GIVE GATORS NIGHTMARES
I'm not posting an opinion for you to change. I'm just saying that it is market driven. If labor is scarce the prices are higher. If there is a glut of labor prices will be low. Simple supply and demand.Of course. And I'll read several replies just like yours. it's why I simply supported McGill instead of bothering to debate with anyone
Like I said, the numbers proving the amount jobs in the low income range should be ignored.
Because everyone, that just happen to fall on the other side of the discussion, has a story saying so.
And if I pulled the listings from when I made the move from self-employed to job searcher - showing all the very real job openings with those pay scales, there would just be another story why those don't count either.
50% in that range and all of them just incapable or lazy. I'll save us all some time. Reply away, underpaying or exploitation isn't a real factor, hey, that's awesome.
I'm not changing your mind and y'all darn sure aren't convincing me of that fairy tail. Using as many subcontractors as I did, I worked with way too many hard working, talented and underpaid guys to be convinced that they don't exist or don't count.
I won't even entertain that thought.
When you talk about who the greatest baseball player ever, no one should say Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan might be the greatest pitcher ever, but he isn't the greatest baseball player ever.
While lining the pockets of gangs, mafia, and now the cartels are everywhere and not leaving. Legalization could end much of the violence, while investing in education and rehab. Lessen the private prison system and number of inmates, unburden the court system, etc.Let’s spend decades and billions fighting a war we can’t win!!!! What could go wrong?!?!?
I didn't say it was a perfect analogy. the point was that big men are specialists like pitchers in baseball are specialists. Big men are important in what they do, but what they do is limited. As I said as an example, guys like Magic could play all 5 positions at an elite level. Shaq could never run point or shoot threes.Bad analogy...
1st. Several of the best basketball players are all-time are big men (>6'11"). The most dominant player in the game today is a big man.
2nd. If you talk about the greatest pitchers ever and start with Nolan Ryan, you should immediately be barred from all future baseball discussions. No one with any credibility has ever claimed Nolan Ryan to be the GOAT.
3rd. Look at Bob Gibson's 1967 world series and tell me that the guy wasn't the best baseball player on earth during that particular series.
What you're saying is that the individual goat arguments are pointless because it is a team game. In that light, it is my opinion that Michael Jordan wasn't very good until Phil Jackson came in and convinced him to play team basketball.I didn't say it was a perfect analogy. the point was that big men are specialists like pitchers in baseball are specialists. Big men are important in what they do, but what they do is limited. As I said as an example, guys like Magic could play all 5 positions at an elite level. Shaq could never run point or shoot threes.
Point is I don't think its a legit comparison to compare a big man like Shaq to MJ as who is the goat. That said, if I were building a team, I'd still take Shaq over Lebron. But I wouldn't take him over MJ.
I think it was Ron Paul that once famously posited during a national debate:Exactly. So let's legalize it so that far more people have access to it and therefore far more little girls lose their fathers or mothers or both. Sounds smart.
Of course...because you still have to be able to PLAY. Bill Russell at 6’9 had Wilt’s number matchup wise...and he’d dominate today. Likewise Anthony Davis and before him Tim Duncan would’ve translated back then. There’s never been a leaguewide slate of dominant centers. Bob Lanier and Moses Malone ruled their time and would’ve others. Shaq couldn’t hit his free throws even as well as Wilt...only his health ever cut into his play. If you’re 7 foot AND don’t dominate AND don’t hit your free throws...then you don’t play. Deandre Ayton is peeking into that arrived level...hitting 75% at the FT line.It depends. If you're trying to hit a three or defend against the three and your 7 footer has the typical difficulties that fellas that size have hitting free throws... then that particular gentleman is occupying a large spot on the bench during crunch time.
I think it was Ron Paul that once famously posited during a national debate:
"How many people here would use heroin if it were legal?" Paul asked. "I bet nobody would." "Oh yeah, I need the government to take care of me," he said. "I don't want to use heroin, so I need these laws."
So I’ve accepted a position working in media for basketball and football recruiting coverage.
Not going to plug it here, don’t want to rub Freak the wrong way, but I’m wondering what you guys value most in recruiting coverage: interviews with prospects, film breakdown, insider rumors, or something else?
I know people thatve done meth once and never again, but that’s not my point. My point is that because people know how dangerous it is, the rate of people doing this drugs would barely increase. That’s enough of a deterrent. Prison obviously isn’t stopping people. It’s only destroying lives of addicts and costing the taxpayers billions. Time to spend that money on something useful
You've been watching a lot of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia, haven't you? That's how it all starts out though. First it's no meth. Then the next thing you know they're trying to regulate fentanyl, acetylfentanyl, despropionyl fentanyl, PCP, Krokodil, licking the skin of hallucinogenic toads, etc. Where does the madness end?
Yes. There would be absolutely no risk if meth was sold right next to cigarettes in convenience stores. Wouldn't make a bit of difference. More people wouldn't have access to it. More people wouldn't become addicted to it. More people wouldn't ruin their lives, the lives of their families, the lives of their children, etc. Just put it all out everywhere. Who cares?I think it was Ron Paul that once famously posited during a national debate:
"How many people here would use heroin if it were legal?" Paul asked. "I bet nobody would." "Oh yeah, I need the government to take care of me," he said. "I don't want to use heroin, so I need these laws."
Skilled labor isn’t cheap. Cheap labor isn’t skilled.I'm not posting an opinion for you to change. I'm just saying that it is market driven. If labor is scarce the prices are higher. If there is a glut of labor prices will be low. Simple supply and demand.
When all this is over, I plan to hire. I fully expect to pay more than I wish I could. Any quality people with a job want to come and apply?
Proof? Portugal and other decriminalized areas disagree.I’m in favor of limited decriminalization of marijuana, but not other drugs (especially meth). The highlighted statement in your post is just inaccurate. Although it obviously isn’t stopping everyone, prison is still a deterrent for the majority of the population.
So is the fact that since it is illegal people are hiding it. I wouldn't know how to find meth if I wanted to. Most people wouldn't know how to find meth if they wanted it. But if its sold at your local gas station or grocery store, that would be absolute insanity. I can't believe anyone in here is arguing for that.I’m in favor of limited decriminalization of marijuana, but not other drugs (especially meth). Portugal and other decriminalized countries would disagree. Addicts don't care about danger or risk ....obviously.
