I think it will be a game changer once we can get the antibody test that Taiwan has developed. Since this disease can have such a small effect on huge percentage of people that contract it, they can still walk around infecting others and never realize it. This test will show if you've had a it and if you have antibodies to where you are no longer infectious and have immunity. These test can be performed at home and is rapid. You basically prick your finger and place a drop of blood in a spot on the card. If one red bar appears across the card, you don't have it or have only recently been exposed and the body hasn't produced antibodies. If two bars appear, you have had it and you're immune and not contagious. If the second red line is broken, then you have it and are contagious but your body is producing antibodies.

Of course for it to be a viable option, Taiwan will have to share it and the FDA will have to approve it and a lab will have to manufacture them.

Exactly. Basically we’re delaying the inevitable by self quarantining in terms of the disease, while harming society at large. I’m right out of college and a few of my friends have lost their jobs because of this. Small businesses are getting killed right now. I’m torn too and I don’t want to come off as cold. But all of this will have been a waste if the country collapses to stop a virus that kills 1% of the population
1% is literally millions of lives.

Guys, we're going to get through this. It's gonna hurt a little but we will prevail. Best thing to do is what the experts say. None of us know what they know. If you have older folks to worry about, keep them protected. If you're going to be around them, protect yourself. We'll be even stronger when we emerge from this crisis.

For a complete victory, we must learn from this. We are more dependent on China than we were of the middle east for our oil. We must move away from China for all our critical needs. Whether that means bringing it home or working with other countries that are not our enemies. It will take some time. We didn't get into this mess overnight.

We'll come out of this stronger. The economy will be even stronger than before. Wait for it. Be patient. It's going to happen.
Preach. We also definitely need to go get that Inskip burger when this ish is behind us.

Lots of stats being thrown around but I don’t see anyone talking about the increased amount of brunettes walking around when this thing is over..
Fewer red heads. though, dang it.

I’ve been fighting cancer for 8 months, my wife is a nurse and neither of us are working right now since I have no immune system. We have a 5 month old son. I promise you, that when you’re face to face with your mortality you won’t care about your job, anyone’s small business, or the economy because it won’t save you. People in here bitching and moaning about their “rights” and saying who cares about old and sick people dying have seriously misguided perceptions on what is of true value in this world. I pray for you morons every day that you don’t have to experience what I have to finally see that.
OMG. So sorry. Prayers for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your story. Maybe it will wake a few people up.

The US is paying $400 million a year to the WHO. Why? Especially if they are going to be a puppet for the chinese communist? There was an Asian reporter interviewing a WHO person yesterday evening on a video chat and as soon as she asked a legitimate question re: Taiwan, he ended the call. You can't trust them no more than the chinese,

I've been following multiple sources that are attempting to track the virus here in America and the Covid Tracking Project started tracking hospitalizations related to the virus on Sat, Mar 21st, 13 days ago. None of the sources are in exact agreement for obvious reasons but they are all pretty close to each other. Anyway, it could be a bit premature but it looks like the hospitalizations curve may be trying to flatten out a bit. The slope seems to be dropping. Hopefully the curve will roll over in the next few days.

Of all the charts I have seen, I trust yours the most. Thank you.

I would hoard toilet paper if I could find some. My local Kroger has started mixing ground pork and beef, never seen that before.
Walmart got in some trouble a few years back in China because they were mixing Fox meat into their donkey meat. Apparently Fox meat is much lower grade.

I don't buy groceries at Walmart but a friend told me last week that he was browsing thru the meats at our local Walmart and noticed packs of chicken that were out of date based on the label and said people were buying it anyway. He didn't but said others were. If true, that is nuts!

My wife reported to work at our local hospital at 6:30 am yesterday. She left at 9:30 last night and had to be back at 7 this morning. She had to stay that late to finish finalizing the plans for 18 of the Gallatin nursing home patients to be transferred back today. The other 7 of the 25 they originally took in are too sick with covid to move. Just a terrible situation for all those people and families.

Spent 3 1/2 hours grocery shopping yesterday at three stores... probably another 2 hours sanitizing every box jar and pack of everything. 10:00-3:30, then sanitize shower, protein bar to replace my missed lunch and roll straight into dinner prep

One out of three stores had meat restrictions (2 packs for the 7 in my household 😂). Ummm... see you tonight Shop Rite. No store had paper towels or bleach related products. Facial tissues were available. Probably no toilet paper. We aren’t going hungry, but the process is literally an all day affair

The models are “potential”.

Could be a 5* that never sees the field.

Could be a 3* that’s an All American.

Too early in the career though.

Agree completely and not an absolute. Hence, do distancing etc but don’t go fear crazy. Have an employees going nuts right now from fear.

I wouldn't want to live in that state, especially the large metro areas for for any amt of money. I'll gladly stay right here in mid. TN thank you but I do hope and pray you and your family get thru this and stay healthy.

Yeah, we don’t really have a lot of options right now. Give me Thailand or East Tennessee if I could choose

On the other hand, I used to know a guy that if his meat was out of date, he would discard it even if he had it in his freezer. When he told me that, I told him he probably didn't want to ever visit me cuz I don't have any food that would meet his standard.

12 Experts Questioning a Coronavirus Panic/Link:

12 Experts Questioning the Coronavirus Panic

Somebody already posted the first guy. He's German, and the video was over two weeks old. He said the worst case was 30 deaths per day. The last three days of reported deaths for Germany were 130, 156, and 176. They have been and are still rising. I think it might be a little worse than he forecast, and Germany is doing better than most of its peers.

I didn't look into the other 11 claims.

Your wife is a hero. All the medical people that are on the front lines of this are special people.
