I cited where that number is incorrect for the City of Tokyo proper. If you are going to compare, at least compare city to city and metropolitan area to metropolitan area, don't mix the two to favor your numbers. There is no metric in which Seoul, South Korea has a population of 38 million people. There is a metric in which Tokyo, Japan has 37.4 million and I cited where it can be found. You are just arguing for the hell of it and it's annoying.
It is apparent that Trump looked up Seoul and confused a number listed in reference to it's elevation with it's population... which is just stupid.
Per Macrotrends.net.... the metropolitan population of Tokyo is 37 million. Per Macrotrends.net the metropolitan population of Seoul is 25.6 million people. So, you could say I was wrong in quoting 9 million people for Seoul, but only because I used a different metric than I had used for Tokyo... but that doesn't change the fact that there is no metric in which Seoul has a population of 38 million people. It appears that Trump was confusing the number 38 with Seoul's elevation of 38 m (125 ft).Being wrong and lying are to different things. You didn't lie when you said that Tokyo ha 37+ million folks. You were just wrong.

Horribly misleading tweet, EL. Only intention is a partisan smear. Here are easily found facts.

argue until the end of time that none of this is his fault....it is Obama's fault, China, Pelosi, Impeachment, Deep State, anyone but his. It is sad and humorous. What makes it a smear? The date of the CDC's first announcement is accurate. You don't contest the dates of the golfing and rallies. You don't contest the date when Trump himself publicly acknowledged it as a real problem. Trump's a sucky president. That's a smear when the facts aren't there to support it. And an accurate statement when they are.
I told you I can't open it without paying it - who recommended those things and what does "ignored it" mean in the context of the article?
EDIT: Worked around the paywall. Only specific recommendation I could find in the article was for "Trump to be tougher of China for not letting the CDC in". Otherwise there was no reporting on things Trump was being advised to do that he did not do.
It is noone’s fault..... ( well maybe China’s depending on what they were hiding)...... it is a communicable disease that is affecting the entire world in the same manner.argue until the end of time that none of this is his fault....it is Obama's fault, China, Pelosi, Impeachment, Deep State, anyone but his. He was mistaken. That's not the same as lying no matter how much you want it to be. I'm amazed at how desperately some of you want to be victims and point fingers at others like you're at recess in the 2nd grade.Per Macrotrends.net the population of Tokyo, Japan is 37,393,000 and the population of Seoul, South Korea is 9,962,000. So basically, f--- off.
But the point was that Trump was lying when he told Yamiche Alcindor that the population of Seoul was 38 million.
He owns the response to said virus....you can not explain away his response. Even if you say he didn't call it a hoax. He was very dismissive of the severity of the virus. He held rallies and went golfing when he should've been following the pandemic response guidelines that the previous administration left. I doubt the guidelines called for golfing and rallies. It is noone’s fault..... Just wait till it ends and the economy comes roaring back..He owns the response to said virus....you can not explain away his response. Even if you say he didn't call it a hoax. It was declared a pandemic on March 11.... two weeks after calling the media a hoax.... No one knew what this disease would be or do..... shutting down the world is a huge step with dramatic consequencesHe owns the response to said virus....you can not explain away his response.
