I’ve been watching the pressers. And she has been one that pretty consistently asks baiting questions. She asked the question 45min in, after he already had spoken about what was being done in NY. And I have looked, but I haven’t seen that he “repeatedly” said that, and his actual quote says that he doesn’t think they’ll end up needing what is asked for. She made it sound like he’s not giving them what they currently need. That is the basis of his response to her.

I am no fan of Trump. But I’m less a fan of media propaganda.

If it were that bad at NY hospitals then they should use NY footage, you disagree? Not footage from a single hospital 5,000 miles away to make a point about another hospital. Otherwise, the story shouldn’t be ran or the footage shouldn’t be used.

It’s sensationalism however you spin it, Stew.

That is wrong. She confronted him with his own words from Sean Hannity's show and he denied having said them. He was lying. Period. Trump has also said that he never downplayed the threat of the virus and has even said that he was calling it a pandemic before anyone else was... and that is another lie.

Read and/or watch them again. His original quote was basically saying I don’t think THEY’LL (future tense) need them but they’re being built anyway. Her question frames it as a CURRENT need that wasn’t being met.

It’s a subtle difference, but he didn’t say what she said he did.

Again, if a person willfully eliminates context, they lie. I showed Alcindor has a history of that, and she did the same questioning Trump. Further, we've this self-indulgent interview with her following the presser, where she willfully omits context repeatedly. It's an astonishingly telling interview; I'll illustrate.

In this case, of course, I have to say thank you to Jeremy of CNN for giving me the opportunity to ask my second question. We know now that covering President Trump sometimes is like a team sport. We have to have each other's back in the press corps and Jeremy had my back today. I appreciate that. My second question, what do you make of the idea the President has been saying over and over again that the economic impact of this, more people might die because of the economic impact than because of the virus itself. I said, “Which health professionals are telling you that?” I asked Dr. Fauci if he could weigh in. The President didn't directly answer me. He started repeating there would be a lot of mental health issues with the coronavirus, but he didn't say, “Yeah, health care officials are telling me more people are going to commit suicide if they are forced to go back to work or if they can’t go back to work than people who actually have the virus.” So, there’s no actual evidence to what the President is saying in that regard is true.

I count four blatant lies and purposeful mischaracterizations highlit in red font, and the telling, bizarre statement that press corps consider covering Trump a "team sport" in which the press "team" competes against the Trump team. Naaaw...that's not adversarial.

Now they want to "team" up and not televise the presser because despite this media treachery, Trump's numbers have never been higher. They want to control what we see and hear of the pressers.

Screw them for the Orwellian Newspeak fascists they are.

Coronavirus Jailbreak: Eight Sex Offenders Freed in Cuomo’s New York

Eight sex offenders, three of which were convicted for raping children, were released in the state of New York as a statewide initiative led by Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) to empty prisons in fear that inmates will contract the Chinese coronavirus.

This weekend, the Monroe County, New York, jail freed more than 50 inmates from their custody as part of the state’s Department of Corrections and Community Services jailbreak effort in the midst of the coronavirus, according to WIVB 4.

Among those 50 inmates released were eight sex offenders, three of which were convicted for raping a child. Even as the New York state courts have deemed the sex offenders likely to re-victimize children, they were released.
