Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Yamiche Alcindor: (45:35)
Thank you, Mr. President. I have two questions. The first is you’ve said repeatedly that you think that some of the equipment that governors are requesting they don’t actually need. You said New York might not need 30,000-
Donald Trump: (45:46)
I didn’t say that.

Trump - “And you know a lot ― a lot of equipment’s being asked for that I don’t think they’ll need but I’m building,” Trump told Hannity, according to the transcript. “You know, we’re building four hospitals, four medical centers and many other things we’ve developed and sent thousands of ― thousands of ventilators.”

You know what really stood out to me?

"but I’m building"

The man simply doesn't get it, does he?

And I doubt he could build the word "cat" with letter blocks if you spotted him the "c" and the "a".........

Rachel may spin theories, but she has more journalistic integrity where it comes to citing actual facts. I get that the right hates her, but her team does solid fact checking.

I know a bunch of you just got triggered, but not my problem.
The stunt she pulled with Trump’s “tax return” wasn’t very journalistic.

Yeah her team was crackshot on the Steel Dossier..and Trumps ancient state tax return.

70%? My wife just came back from Lowe's and said it was packed, especially the garden center. Normal Spring day out there.
Thus will be the reason why this isn’t going away anytime soon. Home Depot is limiting the amount of people who are allowed in their stores. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lowe’s did the same.

OK, a case of sensationalism and a half-truth, I suppose, But if that's the thing people point to, I'd guess she's doing most things right.

but maybe there is more to the story than I can recall

Has any reporter asked him why he said weeks ago that "Anyone who wants a test can get a test."? I guess he might get angry and have a little self-pity rant, as usual, if they do.

Trump never willfully lies, on important matters, just to make himself look better? But if he does, I suppose it's "Both sides do it.".. just water off a ducks back, with the majority in here.

OTOH, if one is not constantly looking for grievance, one is less likely to be aggrieved.

Mr. Azar on Saturday defended Mr. Trump’s phrasing, saying it reflected a recent shift by federal health agencies, which have loosened testing regulations. The C.D.C on Wednesday lifted all restrictions on testing for the coronavirus.

“What the president said yesterday at the C.D.C., that is consistent with what the F.D.A. and the C.D.C. are saying, which is we as regulators, or as those shipping the test, are not restricting who can get tested,” Mr. Azar said. “We are leaving that to the professional judgment of doctors and public health officials.”
Mr. Trump used “shorthand” to make that point, Mr. Azar said.
“What he meant to say is we’re not in the way of that,” Mr. Azar said. “And he knows the numbers. We brief him daily.”

Mr. Azar’s assertion echoed one made by Vice President Mike Pence at a White House news conference Friday evening, in which the vice president said that doctors treating potentially symptomatic Americans could contact local officials and have state labs do the testing.

Anyone Who Wants a Coronavirus Test Can Have One, Trump Says. Not Quite, Says His Administration.

Italy with 4k new cases today..lowest I've seen for them in a couple of weeks. I think it's safe to say they have peaked and hopefully will recover quickly.

How should China be held responsible? This will happen again, certainly. Their food markets and trash they eat causes this crap.
The China backlash will send their economy tumbling, and their behavior in transparency thru this, will come back to bite them. On a good news front, more critical manufacturing jobs will come back to domestic...Drugs, IT, etc
