Watching Tennessee’s testing results it’s running about 90+% negative results. From what I understand you’re only being tested if a doctor recommends it. What is going on protocol wise that over 9 in 10 people tested don’t have it?

I would guess some of it is the panic being created and people creating symptoms that aren’t there.

Two things:

1) Symptoms of CV mimic the common cold and the flu. So anyone with a constellation of symptoms that even could be CV are showing up and wanting to be tested. Can't blame patients, really, given the fear out there.

2) If its even arguable, doctors are going to order it to avoid malpractice claims. Now that tests are more available and don't have to be reserved for the really ill, you are going to get a lot more defensive medicine orders.

I'm not a panic type of person but I can understand people who listen to the bat 💩 crazy media day after day after day doon and gloom eventually some people say well maybe that's me?

Coronavirus Update (Live): 550,536 Cases and 24,903 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer

Predicted New Case Ranges Today

3/28 20,900 - 25,600
3/29 23,800 - 29,200
3/30 28,000 - 34,200
3/31 31,900 - 39,000
4/1 36,400 - 44,500

Predicted new Case Ranges 3/26

3/28 20,900 - 25,500
3/29 24,900 - 30,500
3/30 29,200 - 35,700
3/31 34,300 - 42,000
4/1 40,000 - 49,000

Transmission rate still dropping, but hopefully the rate of drop accelerates before these numbers get really large.

A key factor is testing availability, and that will need to be watched to see if newly developed testing capacity can keep up if the numbers of new cases.

Testing data resource: The COVID Tracking Project

They track 102,143 positive out of 672,449 tests so far.

Also tracking growth of state cases per 10k population. In Italy, some areas got above 80 per 10K.
