Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

after 2 weeks they will be wanting to work -- these idiot governors are just going to keep extending this stuff -- its all about their inflated egos
I don't think so. I think they see they can make more by not working. That's why this bill is so dangerous.

In 21 days he's expecting nearly 1 million concurrent cases in New York alone?

(15% hospitalization rate with 25% of those needing ventilators).

EDIT and that's documented cases.
Focus tested scare factor number like 56% of Californians, everyone in NJ, and 2 million US deaths

Both US aircraft carriers in the Pacific are taken out of action by coronavius for up to a MONTH - giving China an almost free hand in the region

Sailors on board both US aircraft carriers in the Pacific have tested positive to coronavirus, sparking fears the Navy could become crippled in the region.

At least 25 sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, forcing the warship to port in Guam to test all 5,000 on board.

The carrier was in the midst of a deployment to the Philippine and South China Seas when the COVID-19 diagnoses prompted the Navy to order it to cease sail Thursday.

On Friday, the US was dealt another blow following confirmation that two sailors from the USS Ronald Reagan - currently in port in Japan - had also tested positive to the highly-contagious virus.

Roosevelt and Reagan are the only two US carriers in the Pacific, and may be out of action for 25 days as they test and quarantine crew.

It effectively gives China free hand in the region. The country has two aircraft carriers, including the recently-completed Shandong, which is currently in port at Hainan Island, the country's southernmost point.

So you would not normally ship on a weekly basis.
no. Our product takes months to produce and we only produce 3-4 per year. It will set us back by a couple of weeks (provided that's all that it last). My customers are understanding. They want their product but they understand the severity of the issue.

What in the hell are you talking about. They are doing this. They call it an experiment because it has not been done before. Talk about agenda driven, you definitely displayed it with your post. Your agenda seems to scream, there is not a need for more ventilators, which is horse sh!t.

The article does not say they are doing it - it says a doctor successfully did it and as RJD suggests it is a preparatory move; not a necessitated move.

Cuomo has over 1000 ventilators in storage. You think NY hospitals are putting this into practice currently while more than 1000 ventilators are sitting idle?

He's just mad that nobody told him about them, so he could take credit.... snoozed and losed.

I think he found out when Cuomo included them in his ventilator count during his press conference.

Meanwhile Mick thinks NY is putting multiple people on a single ventilator even though Cuomo has thousands of unused ventilators in storage.

Honest question...I wonder when the last time it was in port was? Where did it come from?

True. It will be 5 next week.
Not really. Some have been five weeks. Knox county will be two after next week. Like I said earlier, many many businesses are still open and some are hurting for people and are hiring. Like I said, I don't believe the shut down will destroy us any more than I believe the virus is going to kill us all. I think the economy will bounce back pretty quickly. I think the stimulus bill has a much more damning effect long term. JMO

Free hand to do what, exactly?

Meanwhile Mick thinks NY is putting multiple people on ventilators even though Cuomo has thousands of unused ventilators in storage.

I don't think that's the case, considering Cuomo said they are to be depolyed where needed. And were in fact in storage.

However, they were adding the possibility to contingency planning.

Las Vegas attorney launches lawsuit against China on behalf of small businesses, accusing the country of 'misinformation, cover-ups and destruction of evidence' around coronavirus

An attorney who represented victims of the Las Vegas shooting massacre has filed a federal lawsuit against China's government over the coronavirus outbreak.

Robert Eglet's lawsuit claims Chinese officials hid information about the disease and that U.S. small businesses should receive billions of dollars in damages.

The lawsuit was filed on Monday on behalf of five Las Vegas businesses, and alleges that the country is part of a 'totalitarian government system' that engaged in a cover-up after learning about COVID-19, allowing the situation to spiral out-of-control and hit the US.

The legal documents argue that China's government should have shared more information about the virus but instead intimidated doctors, scientists, journalists and lawyers while allowing the COVID-19 respiratory illness to spread.

Eglet told reporters: 'They engaged in falsehoods, misinformation, cover-ups and destruction of evidence.'

His plaintiffs in the coronavirus case filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Nevada are owners of a restaurant, a flower seller, two real estate businesses and a CPR training firm.

"They" were accused by you guys of wanting more deaths when they brought up or posted new death counts, seems it would make sense you guys bringing up the unemployment numbers mean you want it to be higher. Am I doing that right?

Nailed it, buddy!

It’s getting to that time of year where your gadgets are in demand.
