Calling them talking points gives him too much credit. Talking points at least implies some thought laid out to a cohesive story propping up an agenda. This rube is just making dumb **** up on the fly. And his two main counter points are all time 3rd grade favorites.

You say you’re not scared and that’s why you don’t carry a gun..... yet you continually bring up being put at risk by people that do.... so.... you’re not scared of criminals.... but you are scared of legal concealed carriers. “Makes sense”..... said no one ever

It's simple, I'm safer if I'm the only one that has a gun out of 100 people. If everyone had them, not so much. You're championing to lose your advantage.

Yes they are. Just look at history and the list of gun laws we have.

It's all sitting there for you. A road map of the slippery slopes we have already been down. And just looking at other countries you would be lying to say it's going to stop.

Stop voting you are putting me at risk you may elect someone who will harm me.
Stop posting you are putting me at risk, you may say something that angers someone who then causes harm to me.
I need you to change your religion/non religion, as someone may attack us over it.
I need you to waive due process, the 5th, and all that good stuff, because someone bad might get away with a crime.
I need you to give up your fourth because you may have something sharp, or what could be an IED, in your house.
Etc, etc.

I would be willing to have a "Reasonable" talk on guns if people would actually be willing to apply their standards across the board.

Risk is not an answer to why you want to take away rights. That's why they are rights. They are there to protect the controversy of risk on whatever form it takes. Thank you McDad for that gem.

How many people have been shot at gun events?

Gun shows, shooting competitions, gun ranges, open carry marches?

Just look at this thread as a little slice of America. Those who are comfortable with guns, and want to carry, do. Those who are comfortable with guns and dont want to carry, dont. Those who arent comfortable with guns and dont want to carry, dont.

How are you able to say you are unsafe with the general public being armed on a day to day basis?
