Gun control debate (merged)

Again, where do you people live where this kind of stuff happens on a daily basis? The wild west. I'm not that scared that the boogeyman is around every corner.

Your posts say otherwise . Your boogeymen are just people that carry a firearms , it’s your perceived threat ,and you are terrified of them .

This isnt a rabid dog we are talking about . These are humans with brains . Here I’ll give you a great example using you as the guinea pig .. you are terrified of guns , you are mad at me and decide you want to cause me harm by pickup up a crow bar and coming toward me , I pull out my firearm and put that red dot on your chest ... what’s your next move Fredo ? You live in fear of your actions causing other to become more aggressive and hurt you , I don’t . I am prepared for an aggressive attack and when use force to stop it .
This is where gun enthusiasts always seem to miss the point. I don't live in fear as I have never felt the need to carry a gun one time in my life in any situation while you always feel the need to carry one because of some fear of what might happen to you. That makes you the scared one not me.

Check out my last post and your “ boogeymen “ lol

We carry guns, why on earth would we be scared? It’s not about living in fear. It’s understanding that bad things happen in every day life. It’s also refusing to be a victim to someone who has a wish to kill as many people as possible. It’s about accepting responsibility for your own safety.

So you think by not carrying a weapon I am not taking responsibility for my own safety?

OMG. It's worse than I thought. In this reoccurring dream you're having, which one are you? I can see you being both.

This is an interesting observation I've discussed with others. Could/should certain poaching regulations be suspended? (at least in certain areas for certain species) If not could there be some "still illegal but not charging for now" approach. Were I a game warden right now I might have a hard time running in a guy taking out a deer to feed his family under the current circumstances.
It wasn't me.

Sure, in a nutshell, I do not believe this is an unfettered right and that reasonable restrictions do not violate someone's "right" to bear arms. Reasonable restrictions are not this slippery slope that so many gun enthusiasts try to portray.

Every other rights listed in the BORs is unfettered. Only restriction is you can’t use them to hurt another.

Mostly Mexicans and black people according to the person you voted for.
I’ll have you know that none of my firearms are racist and do not discriminate. Why just the other day I took them out and they showed no bias whatsoever toward the color of target I put in front of them.

Gun owners are all about diversity. For years now the best selling rifles in the country are black.

The bill of rights disagrees with you. The explicit statement is “shall not be infringed”. The government is not at liberty to impose restrictions on our firearm rights. They have already over stepped their authority with title II firearm registration and taxation. NFA1934 and GCA 1968 are unconstitutional and should be repealed immediately

Wrong, they will just shoot you more quickly because you just exponentially raised the threat level to them. If they are "coming at" you as you described, then they are probably not thinking all that rationally so the first perceived sign of a threat will cause them to respond aggressively, so you may be dead but by god you exercised your 2nd amendment "right". #murica
😂 so dumb

I liked the turn of phrase "they will just shoot you more quickly", like that's comforting. I suppose getting shot more at your attacker's leisure is preferable to taking defensive action.

I've posted so many examples of successful use of firearms in self-defense in this thread it's just boring anymore unless there's something "special" about the incident. (I personally like the elderly that take out bad guys. I don't like criminals regardless but I HATE people that look at the elderly as easy prey) It happens all the time and the vast majority don't involve anybody being shot. Even better anyone with the sense of box of hair realizes the vast majority of DGUs (defensive gun uses) do not involve shots fired. The overwhelming number of would be attacks are stopped by the mere presence of a firearm. And why not? How many bad guys really want to continue to engage an intended target once they discover to do so could have lethal consequences? We hardly ever hear about those. Things that are prevented from happening don't tend to make the news. (if they're even reported to authorities at all)

Ive never had a dream where I’m carrying a first aid kit to defend myself with . You like to pick and choose which post you reply to .. doncha? Unless I’ve missed the reply , you’ve had one waiting and even bumped once over there —->

I've never had a dream I was pointing a gun at someone either.

Neither have I , that I can recall , I don’t have dreams with weapons in them . Now back to reality ... you watch too much tv if you think prepared people are the ones going out on weekends looking for trouble so they can shoot somebody . It’s actually right the opposite.
