Baltimore Mayor: Stop Shooting Each Other. We Need The Hospital Beds.

On Wednesday, after seven people were shot in Baltimore on Tuesday night, Baltimore Mayor Jack Young pleaded with residents to stop shooting each other so there would be beds available for victims of the coronavirus.

On Wednesday, Baltimore reported a fifth person who has been infected with the virus. The Baltimore Sun reported, “The five confirmed cases in Baltimore involve a person in their 60s, a person in their 70s and three people in their 20s, said health commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa. All are in ‘good to stable condition.’”

Young stated, “I want to reiterate how completely unacceptable the level of violence is that we have seen recently. We will not stand for mass shootings and an increase in crime. For those of you who want to continue to shoot and kill people of this city, we’re not going to tolerate it. We’re going to come after you and we’re going to get you,” as CBS Baltimore reported.

If only he had just requested this years ago... 🙄

I'm not going to look it up because I don't care. But I believe percentage of accidents per miles driven have gone way down and percentage of deaths per accident is way down also. I dare you to go look it up.
Don’t care, total numbers are up. Look it up I dare you

Why do that when we can argue and blame this on the librulz?
In these divided times, Democrats and Republican Congress and senators (not to mention Trump) are working together as one for the most part. That in itself should give indication as to how serious this is. It's very surreal. I watched the nightly news tonight and it reminds me of 911, but happening all over the world.

With no definable criteria other than, we're scared, we've decided it is ok to take basic freedoms away for us citizens.
Fear is a powerful tool; maybe the most powerful. It leads us to war. It leads us to turn on each other. It consolidates power to the ruling elites. It provides deniability after the fact because "we were only doing what we thought was best".

Nobody wants to miss our sports, lose our paychecks and have to cancel our vacations. We certainly don't want to get sick/die or lose beloved family members/friends.

Just do what they say. Distance yourself, follow the guidelines and this thing will be over quicker. Temper tantrums over the inevitable just causes stress for everyone. ignoring what the experts are saying will just make this hell last longer.

The triggered badasses in here are a curious lot. "Ah ain't skeert uh no varus. Damn the NBA and everbody else fer closin. Jus gon live my life and do whatever ah want to. What bout the flu and car crashes and such? Ain't nobody care bout that. This varus ain't gon run my life." <Then drop 200 posts a day in this thread telling people to stop letting this virus run their lives>

Why would anyone be scared? None of us make it out alive.....

I was speaking more about this board. But I agree, it has been nice to see bipartisanship in DC this week. It has been a long time.
