Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Not sure when the first case was discovered here, but we are now at 115 deaths in the US which is about the same number of people who die in auto accidents in the US per day

How many times have you made this point now?

Do auto accident deaths increase exponentially? If they did, automobiles would have been outlawed long ago.

So maybe I'm a bit loopy from lack of food & sleep as last night from around midnight to 9AM this morning I spent basically all night on the throne with a dishpan.

The strangest thought struck me as I was gagging...

If someone with coronavirus coughs or sneezes is that considered a Coronal Mass Ejection? 🤔🤪

I need sleep!

JFC are you serious? So you think comparing a car wreck, which is a one time event, to the spread of a virus that there is currently no vaccine for and can easily be passed from a “seemingly” healthy person to a person who may not be able to fight it is reasonable? On what effin planet do you live, man? What reality? In zero ways (zilch, none, not a single one) are these two things even remotely comparable.

And please do work on your reading comprehension and tell me where I said it would never end.

You get so wrapped up in this exponential versus constant argument on virus versus wrecks.

We all know what exponential means. And some of us even understand it isnt exponential with no cap.

It will cap, then drop. And when it drops, the car wrecks, like the turtle will keep on going.

Point being, 30,000 deaths whether over 5 months or 12 months, is still 30,000 deaths.

And how many times will you mention exponentially? Is your belief the exponential rate continues on forever? Is it? If it did, then we truly do have nothing to worry about then.

I guarantee you they have increased, how much do you think there were in 1980? 1990? Today?

Let's see:

Car accident deaths per 100K persons in US.

1950 21.79
1960 20.15
1970 25.67
1980 22.48
1990 17.88
2000 14.86
2010 10.67
2018 11.18

Multiple choice test: Is this exponential growth?

A) YES
B) NO

Joe Biden Demands Trump Invoke Defense Production Act – Minutes After President Does

Joe Biden continues to lead just a few minutes behind.

The former vice president issued a demand on Wednesday that President Trump invoke the Defense Production Act related to coronavirus recovery products.

Biden’s plan says to “prioritize and immediately increase domestic production of any critical medical equipment required to respond to this crisis — such as the production of ventilators and associated training to operate — by invoking the Defense Production Action.”

“This action must be built on forecasted demand, using the best modeling currently available for negative scenarios,” he wrote.

But just minutes prior, Trump did just that.

Give total numbers per decade and the answer will be YES. Do you have a better chance to die from a car wreck or the coronavirus

Lol. And when the R for corona drops below 1....the other subject continues its constant pace....hell nevermind.

That number will grow quite a bit. How much it grows is solely dependent on how we respond. If we continue to go about our lives using your mindset, God knows how many will pass from this.
