Coronavirus (No politics)

Our governor in Ohio just ordered all restaurants and bars to close. Can still order pick up or delivery no sit down customers.
Wife is bracing for that to come down here in Virginia too. We have the cash on hand in our bakery to close for a whole month if needed but it's still stressful.

Our local facebook page is FULL of people figuring out how to support local businesses during this thing. For example, coffee kits delivered to front porches for people who want delivery and can't go to the shop to pick up their morning fix.

Maybe check to see if your community has started a page like that?

One just started up. But the thing is, it's a bakery, mainly focused on desserts. I guess if people are really looking for some escapism it may be alright, but the bulk of our business is also wholesale and the big account (local civic center) just had all their events canceled. We'll see, I could try to stay positive 😆

Its not about the dessert, its about supporting your business. That's what's happening here anyway.

That's why I'm negative. We're actually trying to leave this area- we've had about the worst experience I've ever had in my professional career here, with local government and business culture. And my day job is working contracts at the federal level!

Oh. Sorry man.

Wife and I are in day 4 of an illness that neither of us feel we have had in the past. We have all the symptoms of covid-19 except a temperature. We do have a dry cough, chest pressure/pain, and fatigue. We can only talk a few sentences at a time without getting out of breath. I called urgent care today for advice on what to do, she told me there is nothing they can do and to self quarantine at home unless we are near death and then go to the emergency room.

Hopefully you guys don't have it. Testing should be available this week to anyone that wants it. I would check with your health department in the morning.

Take elderberry syrup and zinc. Get lots of fluids. Best of luck.

Where are you located?

I plan on calling my Doctor in the morning and seeing if he has any better advice. I am in Marietta, Ga (Cobb County), have not traveled other than Ga/Tn in the last 6 months.

Looks like the Wynn and Encore will lead the way in Vegas. Edit: Add MGM (and soon) Caesars.

Praying for you guys. I'm in Georgia, 70 miles northeast of Atlanta. Man it's spreading quick here, just saw a confirmed case from hall county on the news. That's like 20 minutes away from us.

I think it's been in the US a while, honestly. I had the worst "cold" I've ever had back in December and early January- brutal cough, chest pain, inability to sleep, no drainage, all lungs, it felt like. Several friends of mine, both near me and further away, had the same thing.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch but it's odd.

I also think it has been around a lot longer than reported. Once the guy in Rome was reported to have it, I was thinking if someone in Rome, Ga has it then it is everywhere.
