It is the same during flu season. The difference is we don’t have a media driven freak out during flu season. If we don’t get in front of it and the hospitals get swamped the death rate will be higher. That is what this is all about.
Yes, the vast majority who get it will not die. However the ones that will need to be hospitalized can quickly out pace the number of beds available.
See post above about ventilators in NY. That is the real concern.

More beds per patient doesn't mean much if your health system operates like our VA here... Which theirs does.It is not the same as the flu. Resources aren’t overwhelmed with the seasonal flu.
LOOK AT ITALY!!
That is not a a third world country. They have more beds per patient then the US. They are being deciding if the 45 year old or the 65 year old gets a ventilator right now because they did not get in front on it.
Quit buying into the “media freak out” narrative.
WHAT HAPPEND?????? It appears the total deaths predicted just has not happened-shame on those that put this type of crap out!!!!!It's following this prediction graph pretty closely. So if it keeps up it will kill 1,200,000 by February 21st. The true numbers are skewed in the first place. They are a lot higher coming from a communist government like China. They're boarding up entrances to high rise apartment buildings and locking citizens in.

Again, I've already mentioned my distaste for the WHO. They repeatedly let China off the hook (their leadership said China did a great job with this! Really?) and they've done an incredibly poor job of relaying information to national governments and assisting in the procurement of supplies- the two things they exist for.Example please?
Italy’s healthcare system ranks among the best in the world by World Health Organization.
