2020 Primaries

I've explained it, you just don't like the explanation because it doesn't end up with Hillary as President. Ask yourself this, and answer it honestly, if Trump had won the popular and Hillary the EC, would you be complaining about it? I don't think you would. I think you'd be perfectly happy with Hillary as your President and you wouldn't be complaining about an "antiquated system" claiming Trump should be President. I'm right, aren't I?
Had Trump won the popular vote and Hillary the EC I would have thought 2 things.
1. I can't believe that many people actually knowingly pulled the lever for Trump - stupefying.
2. It's about time that a horrible system works to the advantage of the other side for a change.

It's like watching a horribly called football game where all of the bad calls are benefiting one team. When an obviously bad call finally benefits your team, you're thinking "about damn time."
When a game is full of bad calls, it's best for everyone if they sort of even out.

If it helps, you can substitute questionable targeting calls in for bad calls.

Trump kept his cool when he had like 8 people on stage attacking him, Biden won't land a punch. Meanwhile Biden has already threatened that he would fight Trump so it's likely Biden will lose him temper several times, especially when trump brings up the crack head Hunter.
Trump whines and throws tantrums like a silver spoon fed douche canoe. He's weak and thin skinned.

"Bad calls" is a poor comparison. If you were to be more accurate, it would be "bad rules."

But, you knew the rules going into the contest and decided to play "by the rules" anyway, the other is up to human vagaries.

Do you also think Trump is the most handsome, too?

33 amendments have been created since the constitution has been installed . Now we have a problem creating one ? 27 of those were passed and sent to the states . We’ve been over this .
I use to would have thought that everyone was well aware of the hurdle to the whole amendment issue, but I'm learning not to continually overestimate.
The majority of the states benefit from the EC because the majority of the states contain the minority of the population.
In order for the amendment to pass, people would have to be willing to sacrifice power in the name of what is right. Not enough of the population has evolved to that point; it's a work in progress.

I think the Democrats have to flip another state or two.

I threw in the "targeting" just for you.
But you can also view it as a rule of the game that a ref's call stands. (even a bad call)

They weren’t super human, and they wrote these rules for 13 coastal colonies, not 50 states across a continent. Deferring to the status quo without even trying to apply critical thinking is all too common in America today unfortunately.

Oh my!

Across a continent, you say? The “continent” includes more than the United States. Canada, the second largest country by land area, is a part of this continent, as are Mexico, Central America and numerous Caribbean island nations.

I've heard that stated about 2000 times.
If that is how a person determines their vote, they're not very sharp to begin with.

It was a whole lot of folks damn tired of being called every “ist” or “ism” in the dictionary, plus a few new ones, just because they disagreed with someone’s opinions from the left.

Y’all created that anti-pc monster, own it.

Why was the EC installed into the constitution?

Human interpretation of the rule. No human interpretation for the Electoral College rule needed unless for some reason it would have to go to SCOTUS. Your argument is flawed but we get what you are trying to say.

Yo habla "luther".

The Right does the same exact thing, just with different insults. No one's hands are clean in this.

Want to know how I can understand where luther is coming from?

Not really flawed. The rules committee made a rule that a ref's call would stand, even if it was a bad call. Everyone understands why that is necessary. The problem arises when the bad calls benefit only one team.

Or because it’s logical, as proven by it’s literally how we conduct every other election.

How many other elections held in this country are for the sole purpose of being the head of state? You know, the one person that is the face of the nation. The one who can approve or veto the things that have a direct bearing on all the states.

That’s why it’s done differently than every other election. The others are state specific elections. Nobody in NY cares who Santa Clara County CA elects as a city councilman.

Specifics

Sure. More detailed version below:

One cold morning next January after a long pathetic cry and tweet on the toilet, Donny will slowly slather on his women's make up, bobby pin his gold comb over down for the last time as president, squeeze into his cheap Chinese Trump-brand suit, clip on his over-sized clown tie, put on his shoes with the four inch lifts and waddle downstairs.

Then, too disconsolate to speak to the press, he will keep on waddling across the lawn of the White House, climb onto Marine Force 1 laboring for breath from the effort and leave the White House never to return. Melania will soon after divorce him, Fox and Friends will no longer take his call, Twitter will finally block his account and he will generally be considered a pariah in American culture and the worst president in modern history. The damage he has caused to America's prestige will never be fully repaired.
