You do know that he has no defense because he purposely puts all of his playmakers on offense. He is literally 4th fiddle in Texas, after Texas, A&M and Oklahoma. He gets all the leftovers....so he purposely puts them on offense to try and just outscore the other team, its the only way they can be successful. It would be totally different at UT, he would have the horses to make a great defense.

Did anyone see the Texas game? His defense gave Colt McCoy trouble all day and Texas had maybe 1 1/2 drives which were late in the game.

it's my totally unprofessional opinion that Mike Leach is the most brilliant and original offensive mind in the history of the game.
I'm sure that comes across as hyperbole, but after watching him and reading up on him for years, that's my own view

My take on Leach? IMHO, he would do for UT what Meyer has done for the Gators and Saban for Bama. Not only would he make UT good but scary good.

God I'd hate to have him in the SEC.

I havent read this entire thread but i recall Leach doing quite well as the OC for Kentucky while he was there so to say his offense just wont work here is absurd.

if his offenses weren't at the top of the NCAA year after year after year after year, I would be able to understand some healthy skepticism

Mike leach is great. His additude is exactly what tennessee needs. I don't know if his system would work. But his additude would. Thumbs up to mike leach. That guy is a little off his rocker, but one hell of a football coach.

Oh by the way if anyone out there hasn't watched that red raiders offense. Treat yourself to it.

Why wouldn't his offense work? He tore it up at Kentucky and their talent was horrible back then(excluding Couch and a couple of others)

It might. I didn't say it wouldn't. I like defensive minded coaches more myself, but thats just me.

He would keep things interesting up there.
