Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

I am a retarded bammer troll who has nothing better to do than sit in my own filth in my trailer and pollute other team's sites.

Would you please look at the very top thread on this page and take heed.... :banghead2:

I'm not claiming that my sources are the best, but I have a guy who seems to know what's going on (he lives in West Town) and he says the new HC is currently coaching a team who is having a good season, and that the announcement date will depend on whether or not his team makes a BCS bowl.

Could this be the guy from TX Tech?
Voices in your head=Not sources.

Your source lives in a mall?

Im not saying Leach is the right choice, but to say he isn't right because he hasn't won the big 12 is just ludicrous. No 1 in their right mind would expect anyone to win it at TT when you have Ok, Tex, the rise of Mizzo and Kansas, K. State used to have great teams, as well as Nebraska. TT gets all the leftovers that those teams don't want. And besides, if you've ever been to Lubbock, TX... My God. I don't know why any division 1 football player would want to set foot there, much less choose it as a four or five year destination to play college football. Expecting TT to win that conference is like expecting Ole Miss to win the SEC. It' s just not typically gonna happen.

NO MIKE LEACH!!! We will never run the football. Say goodbye to Oku and Giles for sure. Chris Peterson...Butch Davis...Brian Kelly

If mike leach comes, forget the recruiting of good running backs. All they do is throw screens and slants.

At this point there is little difference in that and trying to run into the hamstrings of an inept O-line and then setting an NCAA record for number of punts per game...only the first way gets you much further down field, provides a legitimate passing game to prevent the opponent from packing 8 or nine in the box, and gives you the opportunity to run like a scalded dog when you do catch them off guard.

Leach runs the ball plenty, Really depends on the other teams defensive set...He runs the spread so it does include running lol...I like all of the other selections you have listed as well.

I just noticed Leach bears an uncanny resemblance to Bobby Knight. Especially in the top half of his face.

He runs the ball. The passing offense opens up the run nicely. He has gotten more accustomed to running the ball the last few seasons and it has seemed to work. I think this is our guy!

Leach does run the ball. He sets up the run with the pass though. Gets his backs in space with the ball, and holds linebackers with the pass.

I stand corrected. Let's see if he can win his conference though, before annointing him. The guy has spent the last decade being reliably 8-4. If I wanted a guy with a fancy offensive scheme who built a program from nothing, got the most out of his players, but had yet to win a conference, then I'd go with Mangino, who has built a program that was absolutely dismal before he took over.

Dude, he's at Texas Tech. Of course, he had a couple mediocre seasons. But in those mediocre 8-4 seasons his offense was still putting up ridiculous numbers.

Move over Allen Iverson, Mike Leach is The Answer.

Don't think his scheme will work in the SEC, but I also didn't think Meyer's would work. If he's hired, I'll back him, but I sure hope we get someone different.
