No, however, it happened. Burrow catapulted to perhaps the greatest collegiate season for a QB in history, while JG.....well, we all know how bad JG was, went the other way.

We will see tomorrow night, if we don't put up 40 points we still have a long ways to go. Tomorrow night will give us a glimpse of what we wil look like next year with jg as qb. I hope its good.

The best type of qb to have. Hard to defend against a mobile qb. that can just be average in passing.

But speed could be the difference in making someone miss a tackle and then going for many more yards. Holiday is much faster than Maurer, of course the speed in the 40 doesn't take into account juking a defensive player. If he is quick and can make very quick cuts it would be awesome.

My point is, that in modern football(as evidenced by a 7 td performance in 1 half of a natl semi game), it is hard to believe that JG had 12 tds all of last year and 16 all of this year.

Speaking of sounding dumb. You act like basic skills that got someone a d-1 scholarship change dramatically....had you spoken to route runnjng or learning the passing tree itd be different....and who was talking about being drafted?..

Pruitt made a comment earlier about recruiting 2 QBs. He said he learned you better keep recruiting a QB until you have one. The coaches know JG isn’t the answer.

Harrison Bailey will be our starter at least by game 5, if not sooner. JG MIGHT be able to hold him off early.

Really? Because as a Ravens fan, I watched the Ravens go 4-5 last year with Joe Flacco at QB, then Lamar Jackson came in and we made the playoffs. Same O-line, same defense. When you have sustained drives, you keep the other teams offense off of the field and you keep your defense rested, so they play better. So yeah, QB play can make a team really good. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying BM could have made us better, because we don't know how good he is either, but your statement is just not true. And had JG played like an experienced SEC QB, which he should have been doing by this year, I believe we most definitely would have been a better team. And would have a better record. (Not saying SEC CG good, but we would have had been a much better team).

As a Ravens fan, you also remember winning a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer. QB play is huge, but it’s not everything.

The bottom line on offense is that the last 3 years we’ve finished 12th, 14th and 12th in the conference in rushing. That’s not cutting it no matter what. Good QB play can help that number, but we’ve got to be better on the ground to beat good teams.

Everything depends on LOS play. Dominate there and you can run the ball. Running the ball makes any quarterback’s job easier. It is not a coincidence the the Vols recent reversal of fortune came just as they started winning the LOS battles.

Wrong of course. For one he started two years worth of games. He didn't start the beginning of his freshman year then missed games due to injuries and play.

So he actually looks pretty good where he stands. Top ten. 5 away from holding sixth all time by himself. The only above would be Manning, Clausen, Ainge, Bray, and Dobbs. Pretty good if you ask me.
