Haha no I thought we were having a good debate. Just having fun with yer response. No offense intended. Figured you knew I was kidding. I definitely won the debate though.Well for one thing I've not insulted you once. I've stated my opinion and accepted yours and have agreed to disagree. Now who's the child? Are you one of the ones I was referring to yesterday that thinks someone is less intelligent because they have a difference of opinion?
It will be interesting to see if there is any tweak to Pruittās strategy in fall camp next season. He said this year he felt like he put too much on the players early in the year and it made them think too much and play slow. Once he backed off we really started making noise.
Will he decide a Year 3 team should be able to handle more? Or will he take the lesson and hold back and be more incremental in his teaching? Could be the difference between an upset win vs OU or UF.
Coulda just @cHiZzLeVOL. Thatās his guy day 1.
What about recruits with no offers into All-Americans..Hope he lands a recruit or two. Can't argue the development at this position but we need to be developing recruits with offers from UGA, Aub, and Bama into All-Americans, not just recruits with no offers into serviceable players.
No, you lost.Haha no I thought we were having a good debate. Just having fun with yer response. No offense intended. Figured you knew I was kidding. I definitely won the debate though.
They were not motivated, and you are either full of crap if you say they were, or dumb if you really believe they were..specifically Bama-Utah and AU-UCF.When some of these so called smaller teams have had the opportunity in bcs and ny6 bowls they have done well. They won 4 of the 6 games against bcs conference aq teams. Utah beat Pittsburgh and bama. Boise beat Oklahoma and TCU beat Wisconsin. Since the playoffs started they have also shown well in ny6 games winning 3 out of 5. Boise beat Arizona, Houston beat fsu, and UCF beat Auburn. Even the 2 ny6 losses were only by 1 score. Western Michigan by 8 to Wisconsin and UCF by 8 to LSU with a backup qb. Nb4 but those p5 schools weren't motivated blah blah blah.
TCU and Utah have also shown that when a p5 conference gives them a chance they can more than survive the riggers of the terrifying p5 schedule. TCU has won 11 or 12 games 3 times in 8 years since joining the big 12. And has won the big 12 championship. In Utah's 9 years in the pac 12 they have won at least 9 games 5 times and only had 2 losing seasons. They will likely win the pac12 this year and may get a shot in the playoffs. In reality these so called smaller less athletic teams aren't really smaller or less athletic. UCF is just as big on both lines of scrimmage as most p5 schools and has faster skill players than pretty much any school in the country at any level.
I disagree. Utah and TCU have proven they could thrive in those schedules when given a chance. And g5 schools are 7-4 in bcs/ny6 games when given the chance against p5 schools. Those are facts. No, you lost.
This is the last thing I'm going to post on the subject...
When it was a two them playoff the committee had to be 100% correct when choosing the two teams to play in the national championship game. There was always a decent probability they would get it wrong. A few teams could make a great argument for being included when they were left out. By going to four teams the committee can miss by 50% and still get the best two teams. All the committee is responsible for is making sure the two best teams get in. If they go to eight teams that allows them a much larger room for error. None of those eight best teams are G5 programs (IMO), 99% of the time. If any G5 teams played in a P5 conference, they would be middle of the pack teams at best, ACC included. We constantly complain about how Clemson, OSU, and even OU and all the PAC teams play a weak schedule yet you are proposing that G5 teams that have even weaker schedules get in the playoff. They simply don't deserve it. If they want in they need to play some powerhouse nationally prominent teams. And, don't tell me none of those teams will schedule them, that's an entirely different issue.
