Gun control debate (merged)

I also prefer them. Most economical way to send rounds downrange.
Light weight is a bonus but I dont predict having to use one for long periods of time IF I NEED TO USE IT. If I do need to use any/all of mine for long periods of time, I expect these idiot socialists/communists would have won and I am one of the many in my area to protect the population that is getting f'd over by the govt. Ive been drinking heavy....carry on lol

Also, remember and thank a veteran tomorrow.....but also remember the fallen and think about them. They are the real heroes!

UVA canceled a long running 21-gun salute to honor Veterans Day. They thought it would trigger some students into thinking that there was an actual shooting happening. At least that’s the excuse that they gave for the cancellation. Man I’m glad I graduated in ‘09, that place has gone to hell in the last 10 years.

I left VA in '88 and it's a different state now.

Imagine being scared of an inanimate object 😂 or imagine that someone will actually confiscate Americans’ guns. All 340 million of them, especially since 85-90% of all law enforcement and military are pro-gun ownership and swear to uphold the Constitution

I'll pay anyone here that can put 100 clips in any magazine I own $1000.
Got a 30 round AR mag?

I got a box of these:

iu

I'll take that $1000 in hundreds, please.

Absolutely terrible. If they win this lawsuit every manufacture in the country can be held civilly liable for criminals using their products. Family member killed by a drunk driver, sue the car manufacture.

Internalize those externalities. No one--pro or anti-gun--can deny that gun usage in the US creates a sh*t ton of negative externalities that are borne by persons other than the gun owner or gun maker. This is just one step to putting those costs back onto the parties in the best position to limit those externalities.

Only a lawyer.

Watched a bit of that video and had to stop. I cant wrap my head around that thinking.

Might as well sue Philip Morris and Brown Forman into the ground as well. Those products kill and affect far more people per year than guns ever could.

And that's why cigarettes should cost as much or more as they now do. The true societal cost of smoking should be reflected in the price.

And the same “logic” applies to cars and any other product which can cause harm to another individual.

Civil suit lawyers are licking their lips at this. This is the very antithesis of tort reform which is actually what we really need.

Cigarettes are already ridiculously priced and the bulk of that is taxes that goes who knows where.

It’s another tired end around by antigun people. We don’t want to take your guns, we just want to make it so expensive and onerous to produce and own them that only the wealthy can do so. This of course disproportionately affects the poor and people of color but they are a noble sacrifice to reduce the chance some white suburban kids don’t get shot at school.

I understand why this makes you happy, it will lead to a never ending supply of work for you and your comrades.
