We evidently want the in-state kids that we think can play at a high level in the SEC in our system. Pruitt and company clearly don’t think Grimes is that guy.

I don’t know how/why you are being so obtuse. Literally nobody here is making noise because he went to Auburn. People are frustrated, questioning the Hardy’s because of the way in which it was done. Multiple lies to staff, recruits, etc. even up until his announcement. I would absolutely never let my son act like that.

I don’t think many of us truly care who you are. If Hardy comes to UT, great. If not, that sucks but the program will move on. Quit trying to dramatize the situation by saying stupid **** like “it’s not over!!” and talking about a message board swaying JHs mind.

Most of us have no problem blaming the staff when it's their fault. But contrary to your opinion, not everything is their fault. Everything suggests he was committed to UT, that he had led the staff to believe everything was still good, then shocked the hell out of everyone with his Auburn announcement. Not sure how being lied to is the coaching staff's fault, but hey, keep on trolling.

The amount of vitriol from some is crazy. Take your meds people. Sucks we got played and I am extremely disappointed but damn. Some of you act like you just lost your mortgage bc this kid picked the barn over us.

What can you do? Kids are going to make decisions based on fleeting emotions. That's just the way it is. I've been following recruiting for a long time now and things like this used to piss me off. Like Vonn Bell and so on. But the older I get the less I care about it. Get the student athletes who want to give their all for Tennessee, then coach them up. Good luck to this young man at Auburn, hope they beat Bama.

I don't like this. Then K says it isn't over? Then why commit? He was supposedly a silent to UT for months before the announcement. If he wasn't sure, then he should have just delayed the announcement.

I’m so sick and tired of that POS university. They are blatant, blatant cheaters. The fact that there’s even a joke about their cabin should be enough for the NCAA to step in and ban its use.

NCAA wants the iron bowl to be competitive. The NCAA is just as corrupt. It’s only going to get worse when paying players are legal... some will just pay more.
