It’s essentially Neidermeyer and everybody else. Hopefully Ansley and Tee can step up between now and February, but it’s getting kinda late and they’re not currently instilling much confidence.

Had a chat with Coach K earlier. From someone who was on those visits, it really sounds like we dropped the ball. All those visits to UT were apparently of Jay's own volition, not because he was being asked and invited all the time. AUB was constantly begging him to come. They also put a major emphasis on academics (Jay wants to be an engineer), we didn't. AUB was just more consistent it sounds like. Rocker is a good coach, but man, he seems to disappear on the trail. Doesn't sound like its over though, so stop trashing the kid for ****s sake.

Beyond that, we have to focus on winning THIS year, and recruiting will work itself out in the long term. Winning fixes everything. Worry about the ones we get, etc etc etc.

I go back a Vol fan probably farther than you do. I believed we had one of the best coaching staffs in college football with some of the best recruiters. I still have faith in Neids and Johnson. Kids see the product on the field for what it is. Some just doesn't want to come in like To o . Some don't want to have to put in the hard work it takes to build the team. Some just like other teams better.

I am mad at myself, because I knew this was happening, but keeping Morris last year made me doubt a little...I thought our days of getting outbid were over...not getting Pappoe didn't sting or surprise so much because he was a south GA kid with few ties to the program...BUT this....this hurts and it is embarrasing. It looks like they just want it more than we do..

Gus is on the thinnest of thin ice right now. He’s most likely losing 2 more games this year. 8-4 again, he’s gonna take some serious heat

Baron congratulated him. My Dawg was his exact words I believe. We just have to win and keep building on the momentum we have on the field. If we were to lay and egg here at the end of the season we would be finished IMO. Go Vols!

Then heads better roll in the recruiting meeting... that is unacceptable.

Thanks for some truth. Its hard for these guys to swallow most of the time. As soon as you post something not according to script they blast you and call you a troll.

There's no way to slice it man. It is a massive, massive loss and a horrible look for our coaching staff.

IF this is true, then the staff dropped the ball. Still doesn't explain the lying IMO. Why not be upfront and honest with the staff rather than playing them like that? Still not convinced money didn't change hands.

Of course he said that...are you effin seriously buying that? That is garbage and I do not believe it coming from him or anybody in that family.

If this is true and he told the staff he was a silent then maybe the staff thought they could put the attention towards other recruits to build the class. Hard pill to swallow though.
