I judged a 4 yard gain or more being a “good” play on first down.


Chandler has only had 5 of 19 “good” plays on first down this year in SEC play


Jordan has had 10/21 good plays on first down.


Chandler did have long runs of 16 and 25 yards while Jordan didn’t have a run longer than 8 yards.

Practice always closed on Monday. And remember they switched from Monday to Sunday as the off day. But with Alabama being a 9:00 game the team practiced today.

On the first down play at goaline Before Rogue fumble we ran wildcat with Tim Jordan. It looks to me like Jordan missed the hole to the left and should have ran power instead ran up middle. Pope and the LT had the hole set for a TD

In SEC play Jordan has a slightly higher % of runs that resulted in 2 yards or less.

Chandler 17/37-45.9%
Jordan 22/45- 48.9%

Chandler had 5 negative runs while Jordan has 7.

So @BeecherVol in my boredom research the only real thing that I see is Jordan is getting us into 2nd and 4-6yards roughly twice as often as Chandler.

Other than that there doesn’t appear to be any real difference in their stats in SEC play to me

RB1 - has ran the football 203 times for an average of 4.1 over his career. He is averaging 4.4 for this season. He has a rushing TD every 51 attempts, 4 total on his career.

RB2 - has ran the football 265 times for an average of 5.1 over his career. He is averaging 5.1 for this season. He has a rushing TD every 33 attempts, 8 total on his career.


No need to dilute it to 4 attempts, a particular down, or a harvest moon.

Both RBs have value to this team. And both need to get the football plenty.
But If I'm valuing one above the other Im taking the guy that gets you further down the field per attempt and scores more frequently. Thatd be RB2 (or Chandler)
